What effect does it have on humans and how can humans help?

Red pandas don't have an effect on humans but their death has an effect on other animals. If those other animals die off for this reason or another it might affect us in a huge or little way. You can help save red pandas by keeping your livestock out of their homes and keep your houses away from their house because we wouldn't want a red panda moving in right on top of our house. You can also not illegally inbreed or smuggle or pouch.

What is the main threat to the red panda?

There are a lot of threats to red pandas. Some are more severe than others like some people go into their homes to hunt and collect their bamboo for their purposes. This is a huge threat because it's 98% of their diet. Another reason is habitat loss to humans for homes and commercial logging. Illegal smuggling and breeding is another cause because even more of their population is down for a reason that can be as silly as wanting a stuffed red panda in their living room. Livestock owners let their guard dogs and livestock go into their habitat and grazz on the pandas territory where it hunts and eats which causes them to have to compete. The guard dogs can give them a canine disease that is deadly to the red pandas if the dog has not been vaccinated.

If red pandas went extinct then some of the other animals would run the risk of becoming extinct. Like some of the animals that eat them like the snow leopard although it's highly unlikely that the snow leopard would become extinct from red pandas dying off it's still a risk that could be taken.

A red panda is a shy animal but they are for the most part calm and friendly. They have a small diet that consists of fruits, vegetables, bamboo and insects.

They prefer to eat on a flat rock than a leafy tree.98% of their diet is bamboo.

They eat at dusk and dawn otherwise they are not out typically. They also like to be by water and that's probably where you could find one eating.

A red panda is the only real panda the famous giant panda is actually considered a bear

Their scientific name is ailurus fulgens which means fire colored cat. Which makes sense because their colors are like fire colors and they are normally no larger than a large house cat.

Altho giant pandas are way bigger and not pandas they are classified as relatives.

But in other ways they are very similar like, they have a similar diet there diets consist of bamboo fruits and some insects. You can find these real pandas in the mountains of Asia, typically where it is forested.

They normally live in a group or alone depending on how big their family is.

But it would be difficult to find them because there's less than 10000 in the wild.
