These quotes show that Winston does not support the party and its beliefs. He pretends to support the party, but deep down inside he does not. In the end, when he tries to rebel, he ends up getting caught. That doesn't really matter because it's the thought that counts. He wanted to be part of a revolution and took steps toward that end.

These quotes show that Julia really likes to be her own individual person. She really wants to stand out as a different person, but in a private setting. She  wore makeup and slept with many people so she could be different from different girls. This is her way of trying to separate herself from others and rebelling in private.

Here, they try to squash everyone's individualism by controlling the language and preventing people from formulating ideas of their own. There would need to be many different ideas so we could progress further, instead of limiting people's thoughts. This could help us progress in the way of wars, medicine, etc. Many different thoughts create many different possibilities. In order for people to create these thoughtful ideas, education would be available to anyone who would like it.
