         <title>French and Indian War</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Also referred to as "7 years war" because it lasted from 1756-1763. Those years reflected the imperialistic attitude of both France and England.<br>-France was supported by the the natives, which put England in a tight spot. Not only did they almost lose the war, they were also facing discontent back home at the colonies due to taxes cause by the war expenses.<br>-G. Washington's leadership was what won the war. The English victory pushed French colonies out of Canada and territories west of the Appalachian.  The proclamation of 1763 prohibited settlement in this area, because it was costly to protect the territory from indians. </div>]]></description>
