         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many college women and men became political activist in which they drove behind the civil right movements. Hippies integrated peace. love, harmony and music. Later the Peace sign became a major symbol of Counterculture. Appearance was unconventional they did drugs like LSD and Marijuana , participated in community experiments. Many of the citizens marked a distrust towards the Government. Sexual politics encouraged sexual freedom. Women were destined to earn equal rights as men. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hippies were still popular during the era in which they discovered more to life. Teens were more sexual and gender roles were mirrored. Aggressive male sexuality inhibited feminist spins. The Cockette's were a San Francisco based commune and creative collectives and were usually called "Hippy Acid Freak Drag Queens" There clothing stemmed from the handiwork incorporating culture designs. They reused clothes and let their hair grow. </div>]]></description>
