Alan Turing was born on June 23, 1912, in in Maida Vale, London, England. At the age of 13, Alan Turing attend a well-known independent Sherborne School. He should most of his interest into science,and math. when he graduated from Sherborne, he when to the university of Cambridge from 1931 to 1934. in 1936 Turing delivered a paper "On Computable Numbers, with an Application to the Entscheidungsproblem." He presented the notion of the universal machine capable of computing anything that i camputable.

Running Career

Alan Turing did a good amount of sports< but the one he loved the most was running. he trained every day, most of the time from the National Physical Laboratory to the electronics building on Dollis Hill. he did so much running he desided to enter into a club, and won several races. hes best race was In 1948 when he ran a marathon in 2 hours 46 minutes 3 seconds, which was 11 minutes slower than the best Olympic time set that year! people asked him why he ran so much and so hard, and he said,'' I'm so busy the only time that i get to think is when I ran.''

Bad School Grades

Even though he was a really smart man in hes later years, but when was young it was hard for him to make the grades that was expected of him.

The laws at the time prevented Turing from being openly gay, but he never kept his sexuality secret either. In 1952, he was arrested and charged with “indecency” after a brief relationship with another man. Defiant, he did not deny the charges.
