I can do this by backward planning and knowing what students need to do by the end of the module, then using the Teacher's Guide to model and build independence in each stage of the process.

Use the LETRS sentence builder to help my students generate complete sentences. I will start with visuals to help them generate each portion of the sentence, then have students generate their ideas on their own. I will also use this organizer as a resource for my student who has a written expression goal, regarding writing a complete sentence with correct capitalization and punctuation.

I'd like to begin utilizing the Simple Sentence Builder Charts in my lessons. I think it would be helpful to first introduce it and utilize the Gradual Release model, but then frequently reference it (maybe as a warm-up or "exit ticket"). I also want to encourage students to refer back to it all throughout the writing process, perhaps by keeping a visual on their desk and asking them to use it first during the drafting phase and then during the editing process (either identifying a sentence that is incomplete and revising it or identifying a complete sentence and "fitting it" into the chart). Eventually, I would like to progress to the Extended Sentence Builder Chart as well.
