Quick Write: "IF YOU WERE BUILDING A 7 BEDROOM 5 BATHROOM HOME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESSERT, WHICH THREE ENERGY SOURCES WOULD YOU USE? WHY? HOW?
I would use Solar, wind, and geothermal energy sources if i was in the desert. The reason for solar energy, is that in the desert, it rarely rains and its not cloudy much, and the sun is out more. Using solar pannels, we should be able to harness a decent amount of energy. Some deserts can be quite windy, so using wind energy by making wind turbines, we can generate electricity from the wind. Some deserts also have oasises, and we can build a geothermal power plant, to make steam into electricty.

HOW?

The three energy sources that I would use for my home would be solar, wind, and coal. The sun is a lot more abundant in deserts than rain is so it would be a smart choice to take advantage over it. It would also be a good idea to take advantage over the plentiful wind that most deserts have. I would lastly use coal because it would be a smart back up idea if I can't harness enough electricity from the first two. Since most deserts don't have trees and don't rain it would be a bad idea to use biomass and hydroelectric options.

Geothermal is a cheap source of energy and should be accessible in the desert. Also you can use a wind farm in the desert because there is most likely no-one around and there should be a good amount of wind in the desert. Other options like hydroelectric would not be accessible in the desert because water and rivers and other bodies of water would not be around in the desert.

I would use solar because that energy comes from the sun which is what the desert is known for, how sunny and hot it is. The sun would shine pretty much every day and I would create energy with solar panels for my home. I would also use a geothermal energy source because it should be easy to get access to in the desert, and would be fairly cheap or in the right price range. Lastly I would use a wind energy source because wind in the desert shouldn´t be too hard to gain access to since the desert is mainly flat leaving no mountains and other things to block the wind. I would use solar energy to power my house because the desert is a big open area where the sun is shining a lot of the time since it usually doesn't rain there. I would also use wind turbines because since the desert is a big open space there would be no objects blocking the wind from going into my wind turbines. I would use geothermal energy as my last energy source since it would be easily accessible in the desert since it is a large open space, geothermal energy is also pretty cheap. I would have little energy farms in areas around my house that the different contraptions can chill in to collect the energy. I would have to research and figure out where each contraption would bring in the most energy.

I would have a district heating system around my house to directly transfer the energy to my house. Lastly I would use wind power at night because at night its relatively windy in the desert. HOW?
If I were building a 7 bedroom 5 bathroom house in the middle of the desert, the three energy sources I would use would be solar, geothermal, and wind energy. I would use solar energy because the desert is very hot. Because of the weather conditions, this means the desert gets lots of sunlight which could produce solar energy that can produce electricity. To access the solar energy, I would install solar panels on the roof of my house. As my second energy source, I would use wind energy. I would use wind energy because the desert is a big open space that is mainly flat. Because it is relatively flat, there are no mountains to block the wind so I think wind turbines would be able to function pretty well. There is lots of land and space in the desert so I would put up wind turbines to be an energy source for my house. Thirdly, I would use geothermal energy as a source of energy for my house. I think geothermal energy would be pretty easily accessible because the desert is a big space and geothermal energy is pretty cheap. I would have a little energy farm near my house to hold all the different machines that convert the mechanical energy into electricity.

HOW?

If I were to chose three energy sources to supply energy to the building I have, I would use solar, wind, and geothermal energy. First of all, I would use solar energy because of the environment; the desert. Since the desert is defined as being hot and we know that the sun is the main reason for that, I would use solar energy as it would be pretty convenient to use the sun as a resource. Second, we have wind energy. I would use wind energy because in the desert we know that there are strong winds (hence why there are such things as sandstorms/duststorms where the wind gets so strong that it carries sand across places) and like solar energy, we can use the "disadvantages" of the desert as an advantage. For geothermal energy, it is just harvesting the thermal energy from the earth so I don't think it would be much of a problem to do.

I would most likely use geothermal, solar, and wind energy to power a seven-bedroom five-bathroom home if it was located in a desert landscape. Solar energy is an obvious pick as deserts are known for their heat thanks to the exposure of the sun. The wind would also be a viable choice as deserts can also be known for their strong winds. Lastly, geothermal energy is made using hotspots throughout the earth. With the size of the common desert, it's likely that one of these hotspots below the surface is below the area.

This is because solar energy is significant in this situation since the desert is dry and sunny all of the time that the sun could be turned into direct power to generate energy. I would also use wind power because the desert may be dry with no water but the winds are still very drastic due to the lack of trees so wind power would be very useful.

In that scenario I would choose solar, wind and geothermal energy. The reason why is because with solar energy since its desert it would be pretty complex to get heat since its a hot climate. And that would cause it to make a great energy source. I would use Wind because it would good for a sub for trees not being there because it can still provide air coming in greatly. And I would finally use Geothermal Energy because its cheap and affordable and it can cause steam from 36 hotspots of earth which can benefit the desert drastically.

IF YOU WERE BUILDING A 7 BEDROOM 5 BATHROOM HOME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT, WHICH THREE ENERGY SOURCES WOULD YOU USE? WHY? HOW?

For starters, one of the main energy sources I would start with is Solar Energy. Solar Energy would be abundant in a desert environment as the climate consists of dry atmosphere, where the sun would most likely be out 24/7. Some of this energy could be stored in thermal storage in the event that the rainy season comes along to stop producing solar energy. The second energy source I would choose is Wind Power. Depending on the desert, (like the High Desert which can be known for being windy) it would be ideal to have wind energy through the events of dust storms, where it can get windy during then. Of course this energy would contribute to electricity for powering the house. The last energy source I would use is Geothermal Energy. This sort of energy would be easy to find in desert environments as deserts themselves (except the Antarctic) would be the hottest geographical regions on earth making it easy to find a hotspot. Since it wouldn't be ideal to use this power to heat the home as this is a desert, it would contribute to generating electricity.
