         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jay Gould was born on May 27th, 1836 and died on December 2nd, 1892. He was a prominent American Railroad builder and financier. In the 1800's he was pushed out of the Union Pacific Railroads, but regained control in 1885.          <title>John Cleveland Osgood</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>John was born on March 6th, 1851 and died on January 4th, 1926. He was one of the founders of the Colorado Fuel &amp; Iron company and a coal baron which extended throughout the Rocky mountains West. He also found employment as a bookkeeper for the union mining company in Iowa.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Leland was born on March 9th,1824 and died in June 21st, 1893. He was California's eighth governor. He was also a lawyer, storekeeper, a justice of the peace, and an organizer. He was also one of the big four who built the transcontinental railroad which connected the eastern United States to the west. His father was a farmer, he was born in Harwinton, Connecticut. He only went to school four months a year.
