Hello, my name is Damaris Martel and I want to thank you for viewing my Content Literacy Online Resource Binder through Padlet. In this binder, you will find literary resources that I will use to integrate literacy instruction into the areas of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies for first grade students. The content areas are divided into sub-tabs by subject. These Subtabs are then further divided by Big Ideas which contain a variety of resources such as fiction and non-fiction books, webpages, hand-outs, anchor charts, videos, and web resources that are matched to the Big Ideas by color for easy navigation.

**If any links are gray please refresh the page and try again**

The book begins with Pete having four buttons he then proceeds to lose the buttons one by one. After each button is lost the book asks the reader “How many buttons does Pete have now?” along with the subtraction equation. I would read this book to my students and have them create their own set of word problems for numbers below ten.

I would use this as a homework resource for students by uploading it to google classroom as well as explaining subtraction to an ELL student.

The book is filled with situations and resolutions that kids can try with their own friends. I would use this book to prompt students to make new rules for our classroom. I would also use this book for students to learn new skills to improve their communication skills without needing teacher assistance.

This could also be a way for students to understand why we make rules. I would base my ideas off this chart but would let the students make the rules. I like this chart because it uses pictures to help students make connections.

The main page is broken down into sections with a table of content at the top of the page. Students will learn about I messages, conflict resolution, how to find solutions, and when to walk away. I would use this website as an additional resource to use for students to create their own resolutions to classroom disagreements.

This is a good book to introduce students to maps. The book includes 12 maps including “The map of my tummy”, “Map of my family”, and “Map of my house.” I would use this book as an introduction to maps in my classroom. Map making is an important part of students understanding their place in the world.
