         <description><![CDATA[<div>A catalyst is a factor in a reaction that allows the reaction to occur at a faster rate than it would normally occur at. A protein is a large molecule consisting of at least one chain of amino acids, and are used by the body to regulate the body's tissues, and assists in their structure and functions.&nbsp; An Enzyme is classified as a protein, and is used by the body as a catalyst to assist with digestion and metabolism, and acts on a substance known as the substrate. Their relationship can be represented using the lock and key analogy. In this analogy the lock is considered to be the enzyme, and only the correctly sized key (substrate) can unlock it(cause it to react). Hydrolysis is the breakdown of a chemical compound due to water, and the minimum required energy for a reaction to occur (like this or otherwise) is known as the activation energy.</div>]]></description>
