  Hello! My name is Iggy Mabbett, I am 13 years old and as the other emails you might receive I am from Argentina but my english is pretty good because I have actually lived in the USA before, for 5 years to be exact.

  I had to move to the USA when I was 6 (I was 11 when I returned to Argentina) because of my dads new job. He has an overseas job that required him to go to the USA very often so he decided to move us all there for many reasons apart from his job like for example new opportunities, a better life and because it would have other advantages.

  Some hobbies that I enjoy doing in my free time are:

• Being on my phone to relax or entertain myself

• Call my friends from the USA to play online games

• Go on my bike to a friends house or around my neighborhood 

• Hangout with friends and the neighborhoods kids

• Writing my book (It’s called “A New World”)

  I also do a sport called Taekwondo, it's a type of martial art that also helps me get stress and anger out when I do kicks and punches while we practice.

  From what I know about migration people usually do it for political reasons such as wars, bad economy and a corrupt government, there are also other non-political reasons like a natural disaster like flooding or a strong earthquake that can destroy large portions of the city, or maybe you went to the USA for a job or better life like how I did.

  Whatever happens I hope that me and whoever you will be will be able to meet and get to know each other. I'm glad that Glasgow Middle School and my school (Colegio Rainbow) are able to have this activity together and meet new people.

I’m Julieta Collino and I'm 13 years old. I have played basketball since I was 11 years old and now I continue. I enjoy doing many activities,such as playing volleyball, spending time with my friends and family and especially playing sports. I love sushi and  Asado or Barbeque.  And New York City, that’s my favorite city in the world and one day I want to visit it.  I’m so weird but funny. 

Regarding immigration I think it is important but it depends on the situation and probably the person does it for different reasons, whether they are in a war, for work, school or even because you feel like implementing something new in your life.

What I understand about immigration are the causes, such as wars in the country you are from or the low quality of life. Another example could be a bad economy.

How are you? I’m very good. My name is Soledad. I’m 13 years old. My birthday is February 11, 2011. I live in Mendoza, Argentina.

I like all sports but my favorite and the one I do is hockey. I have been practicing this sport since I was 3 years old. My hobbies are listening to music, playing hockey, watching kdramas, eating, and cooking. My favorite subjects are language, mathematics if I understand the topic, gymnastics and history. I have 3 dogs. One is called Morita and is a German sheepdog and the other two are called Camila and Lolo, they are adopted from the street.Something that I consider important is that when I don't know someone I'm quite shy but when I gain confidence I become weird and very chatty.

The truth is that I don't know much about emigration, but for me it is when you leave your country to go to another country. I think that the great majority of people emigrate to get better jobs or studies, but sometimes they leave because they have family in other countries  or to escape from a legal problem.

Hello, How are you? My name is Reem, and I am 12. My birthday is on March 10th.

I like making jewelry, playing football(soccer), painting, kpop, and I'm very interested in history it is my favorite subject.

I was born in America but I don't really consider myself American because I've only just moved to the USA 5 years ago but in the past of my life I lived in my home country Yemen I am also British and Scottish but I don't really look like any!!

My migration story starts when I was born in the USA after 9 months I moved to my home country it was really hard to live there because there was a war going on between the south and the north and when I was 5 we had to leave on a boat because the war had started in our area of my countries and we left to Jordan which took a few days we stayed for like 7-8 months because we had to wait till it was safe again. I lived with my grandparents because my mom and dad were studying in Malaysia then when they finished university my mom was having my sister in the USA with her family.
