         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think an extremely memorable image is the final scene/image of ch 8 where it shows that "a women" saw all of what Milkman and Guitar were doing and was confused as to why the took it.<br><br>I think this clearly suggests that there really is no gold.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(Ch 7) I think that it's lines up with Macon's character that he would demand his son go steal gold from his sister, kind of like Scrooge. He is willing to put him in danger for his own plans, although it remains to be seen what he actually steals, given that the sac likely doesn't contain gold.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Not sure if there are more examples but it is very clear that Guitars mind is very focused on the Seven Days' mission, and finding explosives. One quote I thought was "funny"/humorous was on page 181 where Guitar says, "'I don't understand you. You come running after me with a dynamite proposition..." I liked the word choice here emphasizing the focus of Guitars thoughts.</div>]]></description>

I just like this quote because it represents such a deeply-rooted conflict within Milkman, where he wants be freed from his family, but has so much passed down from his father, like behavior, the last name, etc, his "freedom"is even dependent on his father. </div>]]></description>
