As educators we all have different styles of teaching. It is expected that we are flexible and empathetic to needs of our students. I will say that it is easy to fall into routine and that it is truly hard for old habits to break.

This quote resonates with me because it is trying to break down boundaries and challenge teachers. That should be done while keeping the content standards front of mind, so that there is a well-defined aim for what is being taught. I chose this quote because I truly believe that group collaboration is extremely important in any setting. Not only we have to teach students to work together in order to understand a concept or simply gain communication and social skills, but as a teacher it is also incredibly important to discuss ideas with colleagues in order to achieve student growth. Analyzing and discussing data, important concepts, outcomes and procedures, can help one get new ideas and methods that can work in one's own classroom. It is important and necessary to listen to other  people's perspective in order to broaden your own view of things. Often, when discussing data, methods etc., I've found myself looking at a situation many different ways that I didn't see before.
