I would highly recommend this book. It is a slightly harder read so I would recommend it for people with at least a middle school reading level. The book keeps things interesting and makes you wonder so you'll keep reading.

What is the problem or conflict of your book? Which characters are involved? How do you think the problem or conflict might be solved?

The conflict or problem in my book is the unanswered questions. Mr. Utterson wonders so much about why Dr. Jekyll gave everything to Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde keeps mysteriously disappearing and is unable to be found, which bothers Mr. Utterson a great deal. Utterson and Jekyll were great friends and spent lots of time together so when he didn’t receive any of Jekyll’s things it puzzled him. “If he be Mr. Hyde,’ he had thought, ‘I shall be Mr. Seek.”(pg 8) This quote shows the distress Mr. Utterson was in while thinking about Mr. Hyde. The quote also shows Mr. Hyde’s disappearances and how he doesn’t want to be found. “Mr. Hyde has a key.” is a quote showing the advantages Mr. Hyde has over Mr. Utterson. This is after Utterson saw Hyde go into Jekyll’s laboratory which is what began Utterson’s confusion. I think Dr. Jekyll has left clues for Mr. Utterson that will answer all of his questions. Jekyll won’t give Utterson a complete answer when he asks why he made the choices he made. When someone doesn’t completely answer your question you usually already know the answer or they are laying the answer out for you. That is why I think Jekyll has already given Utterson the answer to his unanswered questions.
