Along the respiratory tract, mucus from mucus-secreting cells coat a layer.<br>Cilia are tiny hair like structures on the surface of the cell. The hairs sweep hair, mucus, trapped dust and bacteria up to the back of the throat where it can be swallowed.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em><mark>Reserved by priyansh</mark></em></strong><br>Palisade cells are plant cells located on the leaves, right below the epidermis and cuticle. They are vertically elongated, a different shape from the spongy mesophyll cells beneath them. The chloroplasts in these cells absorb a major portion of the light energy used by the leaf.<br>Palisade cells are found in the mesophyll of a leaf and their main function is the absorption of light so that photosynthesis can take place. The palisade mesophyll consists of chloroplasts with chlorophyll that absorb the light energy.<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Present throughout the body. The structure is given above. Consists of Dendrite, nucleus, Axon and cell body. Function is to transmit information in form of electrical impulses. <br>There are three main types of neurons. - <strong>Sensory neurons</strong>  -nerve cells within the nervous system responsible for converting external stimuli from the organism's environment into internal electrical impulses. For example, some <strong>sensory neurons</strong> respond to tactile stimuli and can activate motor <strong>neurons</strong> in order to achieve muscle contraction.<br>Motor Neurons- <strong>neuron</strong> whose cell body is located in the <strong>motor</strong> cortex, brainstem or the spinal cord, and whose axon (fiber) projects to the spinal cord or outside of the spinal cord to directly or indirectly control effector organs, mainly muscles and glands.<br><strong>Interneurons -</strong> the central nodes of neural circuits, enabling communication between sensory or motor neurons and the central nervous system (CNS). They play vital roles in reflexes.<br> Main Three types of Nervous Systems:<br>Central Nervous system (CNS) - Consists of the Brain and Spinal Cord.<br>Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) - Peripheral Nervous System - The <strong>PNS</strong> consists of the nerves and ganglia outside the brain and spinal cord.(ganglia - a structure containing a number of nerve cell bodies, typically linked by synapses, and often forming a swelling on a nerve fibre.)<br>Autonomous Nervous System (ANS) - Controls all the involuntary functions like the heart beat.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Red blood cells contain a protein called hemoglobin, which carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body. Checking the number of red blood cells in the blood is usually part of a complete blood cell (CBC) test. It may be used to look for conditions such as anemia, dehydration, malnutrition, and leukemia. Also called erythrocyte and RBC.<br>In humans, mature red blood cells are flexible and oval biconcave disks.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Description:<br>White blood cells (WBCs), also called leukocytes or leucocytes, are the cells of the immune system that are involved in protecting the body against both infectious disease and foreign invaders.<br><br>Purpose:<br>Think of white blood cells as your immunity cells. In a sense, they are always at war. They flow through your bloodstream to fight viruses, bacteria, and other foreign invaders that threaten your health. When your body is in distress and a particular area is under attack, white blood cells rush in to help destroy the harmful substance and prevent illness.<br><br>How are they made?:<br>The bone marrow continuously produces white blood cells. They are stored within the blood and lymphatic systems until they are necessary for fighting an infection or disease in the body.<br><br>Types of white blood cells and their<br>Purpose: </div><ul><li><strong>Lymphocytes:</strong> These are vital for producing antibodies that help the body to defend itself against bacteria, viruses, and other threats.</li><li><strong>Neutrophils:</strong> These are powerful white blood cells that destroy bacteria and fungi.</li><li><strong>Basophils:</strong> These alert the body to infections by secreting chemicals into the bloodstream, mostly to combat allergies.</li><li><strong>Eosinophils:</strong> These are responsible for destroying parasites and cancer cells, and they are part of an allergic response</li><li><strong>Monocytes:</strong> These are responsible for attacking and breaking down germs or bacteria that enter the body.</li></ul><div>When necessary, monocytes travel to other organs, such as the spleen, liver, s, and bone marrow, where they transform into a cell called a macrophage.<br>Blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah<br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sperm is the male reproductive cell, or gamete, in anisogamous forms of sexual reproduction. Animals produce motile sperm with a tail known as a flagellum, which are known as spermatozoa, while some red algae and fungi produce non-motile sperm cells, known as spermatia.<br><br><strong>Position</strong>:<br>Sperm develop in the testicles within a system of tiny tubes called the seminiferous tubules. At <strong>birth, these tubules contain simple round</strong> cells. During puberty, testosterone and other hormones cause these cells to transform into sperm cells.<br><br><strong>Function:</strong><br>The primary <strong>function</strong> of the <strong>sperm is</strong> to pass on the necessary biological information required to produce a new organism.<br><br><strong>Structure:</strong><br>A <strong>sperm cell</strong> consists of two parts, the head and the tail. The overall <strong>structure</strong> of the <strong>sperm</strong> makes it perfectly designed to carry out its function. <br><br><strong>Adaptation:<br></strong>The acrosome in the head contains enzymes so that a <strong>sperm</strong> can penetrate an egg. The middle piece is packed with mitochondria to release energy needed to swim and fertilise the egg. The tail enables the <strong>sperm</strong> to swim.  The <strong>cell</strong> membrane changes after fertilisation by a single <strong>sperm</strong> so that no more <strong>sperm</strong> can enter.<br><br><strong>Fun Facts:</strong></div><ul><li>If a guy loses one testicle, the other is generally able to make enough sperm to create a baby.</li><li>It takes only one sperm cell to fertilize a woman's egg - but there's stiff competition for that honor. In fact, the average ejaculate contains 200 million sperm. Best of luck to each of you.</li><li>How long can a sperm cell live once inside a woman's body? About two days.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Egg cells' structure is of an ordinary nucleus. It's function is to join with the sperm cell. They also provide food for the new cell of the fetus.The egg is one of the biggest cell of the body. <br><br>The ovaries are two small organs, about the size of your thumb, that are located in the female pelvis. They are attached to the uterus, one on each side, near the opening of the fallopian tube.<br><br>The egg cell has the basic cell organelles<strong> </strong>such as mitochondria, lysosomes, two types of smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER)-vesicular and tubular aggregates, multivesicular residual bodies, lipofuschin, microfilaments and microtubules. Golgi, RER and ribosomes are very rare. <br><br><strong>Fun Fact:</strong><br>- The egg is all protein and it's not poisonous. If you can  get someone to provide you eggs and manage to put it on your tongue, you can eat out.<br><br></div>]]></description>

As <strong>epidermal cells</strong>, they play an important <strong>role</strong> in gaseous exchange in and out of plant leaves by regulating the opening and closing of pores known as a <strong>stoma</strong>.<br><br>Position:present roots to the plant<br><br><br>Structure:The <strong>guard cells</strong> are bean-shaped in surface view, while the <strong>epidermal cells</strong> are irregular in <strong>shape</strong>.<br><br>Function:<strong>Guard cells</strong> are specialized plant <strong>cells</strong> in the <strong>epidermis</strong> of leaves, stems and other organs that are used to control gas exchange.
