The Declaration affirms rights of minorities within Muslim communities in response to persecution by ISIS. One of the motions under this declaration was the installment of female imams, congregation leaders, in all mosques. The hope was to balance out misogyny by giving authority to educated and empowered women. </div>]]></description>

In late 2011, an Islamic party inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood called Tunisia's Ennahda won the parliamentary elections in Egypt. In 2012, Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsi won the presidential elections, and was the first democratically elected leader. The Muslim Brotherhood wrote a new constitution limiting women’s rights, including the right to an education.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Many women did not learn how to read or right as children, and are now learning as the country progresses. By increasing the number of women who are literate, Morocco could overall have a better economy. Morocco has been prioritizing women's literacy in fixing their education system.</div>]]></description>
