1. Some reasons to save endangered languages are that language is a conduit of human heritage, convey unique cultures, and ancient knowledge.
2. English conveys culture because in some cultures language is a key part of how they interpret emotion and human behaviour. For example, in Cherokee they say "I will see you again" instead of "goodbye" which shows how they talk to each other.
3. I think languages are worth saving because language is what makes each of our societies different. If we save our different languages then we can save our cultures and other people can learn from them.

1. Reasons to save endangered languages: people's heritage, convey unique cultures, and losing your language is like loosing apart of your identity and culture.
2.An example of how a language conveys culture is how the Cherokee have no word for goodbye, only "I'll see you again." Language conveys culture by showing how words or phrases have a deeper meaning or do not have the word at all like the Cherokee.
3. I think dying languages are worth saving because people who lose their language are also losing their heritage and culture. I think a global language would have their benefits but I think having thousands of different languages shows everyone's identity.

1. Endangered languages should be saved because it is apart of some people's culture and also because of the hidden stories, that are written in the endangered languages, will need to be translated to other languages or else we will not know what the hidden passage is about.
2. Language coneys culture because

1. Endangered languages that are different from English are representative of many cultures that differ from American culture, so by losing the language you lose a part of the culture. It also important because a lot of cultures and people pass their stories orally since written language is a pretty new thing. If the language disappears, it's quite possible that the stories will too.
2. Language conveys culture through storytelling and the language proves what's important to the culture. For example, in the Cherokee language, they don't have a word or phrase for "I'm sorry", but they do have a word for the "awww" feeling you get when you see a baby or a kitten.
3. I think that we should do both. I think it is important that we find a way to communicate on a global scale, but I also think that it is important to preserve languages. Foremost, I think it is more important to save dying languages because language is how one's culture and identity is expressed. Having a global language will unify us as humans, but having a personal language identifies us as individuals. You can learn a lot more from knowing many languages than you do from knowing only one.

1. Saving endangered languages is also saving peoples heritage and cultures.
2. Language conveys culture because many languages have phrases with deeper meanings. For example, Cherokee only has the phrase "I will see you again" instead of goodbye. This shows that friends and family mean a lot the them.
3. I think that it is hard to decide because keeping dying languages shows different cultures and different backgrounds but creating a global language will help with conflict and confusion.

1) The author believes that one reason to save endangered languages is because some languages are a large part of people's cultures and if these languages go extinct, then part of their culture diminishes as well.
2) Language conveys culture through stories, songs, and poems. Language can also show where people come from.

Most people have a connection with how they were brought up and want to represent their culture.
2. Language has different words than what others speak. It shows where someone has come from and how they've developed due to their culture. An example is that Cherokee doesn't have a certain word for goodbye.
3. I think we should save dying languages because even if most people don't use them there are people in the world who grew up with language and experienced it first hand.

1. Endangered languages should be saved because language is known to be the root of one's culture. Without a unique language and way of communicating, the culture itself might teeter or disappear altogether. Even though most of the people who speak these dying languages are dying themselves, the inly way to survive is to keep the language and pass it down to relatives.
2. Languages reveal deeper meanings and convey personal ideas. For example, in Cherokee,

It is important for people to be exposed to different cultures and learn all of the different aspects.
2. language not only shows the spoken side of their culture, but they also used hand motions and body language when communicating.
