What is gender?
That state of being male or female, according to a socially constructed definition. However, that is not always the case. Sometimes bias is subconscious due to the societal standards around them. Some are bias and don't even know. I've learned how important it is to spread awareness because people don't know what they're doing until it's confronted and they realize that they are partaking in this issue! I used to think more about women's inequality and specifically, mental health. Just this year, I have majorly educated myself on mens mental health and how much awareness is NOT spread around this issue. Most people, including myself (in the past), think that gender inequality is just against women. Gender Inequality is shown through materials in the classroom. In the Los Angeles School District, less than 30% of authors of 8th grade language arts textbooks were female.
5. Gender Inequality affects the classroom. Teachers often are more strict with males when it comes to punishment, but also provide them with more admiration and positive feedback. Girls are judged more on appearance of their work instead of the quality.
6. Bias can be subconscious. Specifically, The Moroccan Center for Arabic Studies.This program allows volunteers to help teach women literacy skills so that women can have some financial support. 2. Gender Inequality affects pay. In 2010, women earned 19% less than what their male coworkers made for doing the exact same job. 
3. Gender Inequality affects males, as well. 1.  How can we teach more about gender inequality without using the terms "male" and "female", or "man" and "woman"? Those words are not always accurate or impactful to certain individuals who don't identify as either. 

2. How do we deal with teachers who genuinely believe that one gender is superior to a different gender?
