My name is Mackenzie! I was born here in Portland and have never moved. I have a twin brother named Jacob and a mom, dad, a dog, and two fish. I was born on October 24th 2001. I have never broken a bone and never have had any of my teeth pulled so I hope that stays the same.

I like to think of myself as a very trustful person and can keep any secret that anyone gives me. I love to go on adventures but every once in a while, I prefer to stay home by myself. I don't like being in super crowded places because I get super anxious so sometimes I hate going into super crowded stores or the airport. My family and friends are both super important to me especially my fish. I won them at a carnival when I was young, now they are thirteen years old and I would like to keep them alive. Also, I have a giant sweet tooth and crave candy way more than I should.

When I Was Small...

I was probably the scariest and most frustrating baby in the world! My parents already had a hard enough time taking care of twins but I was a real challenge. I would throw raging tantrums over the most irrelevant things for hours upon hours. Although I cried about stupid things, I also had my good moments. My first word was "fish" when my parents brought my brother and I to an aquarium. I also learned to walk at a fairly young age. My biggest achievement when I was young was learning how to walk up and down the stairs. I would do this for awhile making my family clap for me each time. I was also a bit of a trouble maker. My brother and I shared a room when I was about three years old. My brother figured out that if he climbed over his crib and plummeted into his pile of stuffed animals, he could help me over mine. We would then get out all of our clothes, blankets, stuffed toys, anything that was in our room really. We would have clothing wars, chucking our teddy bears and underwear at each other for hours at a time. Of course our parents would hear us but they were too tired to deal with us some nights.

Early Childhood

Luckily when I turned four, I suddenly stopped being a brat and blossomed into the weirdest kid you could ever imagine. I went through a phase where I would not brush my hair and wore a rainbow poncho everywhere! I was kind of crazy and hardly ever got bored with doing things that ranged from making weird impressions in front of my friends and playing jump rope with seaweed on the beach. I remember when I first tarted going to school, I thought I was so cool. I had my own Dora lunchbox and a pink backpack. I instantly became friends with everyone. I remember from grades 1 to 3, my favorite subject was math because I thought I was super cool for knowing how to read the time and multiply numbers by ten, but once it started getting harder, my favorite subject was lunch. I spent a lot of my time in elementary school playing tether ball or foursquare. At one point I liked playing football but I stopped since none of the boys would pick me on their team. On the weekends I would hang out with my friends, making bad movies with my mom's camera or playing imaginary games like pirates of princesses. I remember thinking that I was so cool in third grade because that 's when you got moved to the other side of the school where you would get your first lockers. Something that really changed me when I was about nine or ten was when my grandmother died of cancer. She was probably the most wonderful person in the world and I miss her a lot but Iv'e learned to move on and keep my chin up.

What I Am Proud Of

The thing that I am most proud of is being a part of an organization called NCL (National Charity League). This organization has girls ranging from ages twelve to eighteen signing up for different jobs to improve the community. The jobs could be for Friends of The Children, the Special Olympics, Animal Aid, Urban Gleaners, and many other local charities. I am also proud of all the friends I have made at Jackson. My closest group of friends consists of five people who are all from different schools.

In My Free Time I...

In my free time, I am often listening to my dad's old albums on my record player such as The Cars, Led Zeppelin, The Grateful dead, The Eagles, Elton John, and so much more. I also love to read! My favorite genres include Syfy or Mystery. If I'm not doing either of these things, I am hanging out with friends or cleaning my room since it gets messy every time I clean it. If it's close to Halloween, I'm watching all of my favorite horror flicks on the TV. At least every two weeks or so, I try baking something new weather it's tiramisu or classic brownies, I'll be in the kitchen cooking up a storm!

I admire anyone in the army or navy because those people risk there e lives fighting for our country. Another hero of mine is Audrey Hepburn because she was amazing actress and a great role model for me.

Pet Peeves

I have many pet peeves but the one that bothers me the most is when people eat in disgusting ways. For example, I can't stand it when people smack or chew with their mouth open. I also don't like it when people can't take compliments. If I give someone a compliment, I expect them to say thank you instead of denying what I just said about them. Lastly, I can't stand when someone doesn't like me and makes me notice in passive aggressive ways. For example, if someone that doesn't like me just rolls their eyes at me or ignores me, I would rather them just say that they don't like me instead of being annoying about it.

My Personality

I think I'm fairly mature for my age and am pretty much known for being a good secret keeper. I'm also very good listener and usually don't judge people. I love going to concerts also. I have been to five this year! I love to try new things but I'm also pretty cautious about almost everything I do. Unfortunately, I'm not very patient but I do like to have fun so I rarely ever get mad at people. If you asked my parents about me they would say that I am a hard worker and am very motivated. My friends would tell you that I'm kind of weird.

The Future

My biggest goal in the future is to travel the world. When I grow older I would love to go to many places with my friends. Some of the places I'm going to go are: Venice, Paris, Greece, Rome, Netherlands, Australia, Ireland, London, and other places. I know I'm going to all f these places because when I grow up I'm going to be rich. My dream job would be a crime scene investigator or an orthodontist. Also, when I get older, I would like to own at least one Bloodhound and one Bullmastiff.

Something you should know about me is that I love to pull pranks even though it's not something I'm amazing at. I collect pins from everywhere I travel and I currently have 53 of them. I like taking pictures with my camera since it's the only form of art I'm decent at. I also love animals and could spend all day with any kind of creature.

My very favorite book is Jayne Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I read it for the first time last spring and have read it two more times since.

I love Christmas because I love the festive feeling it gives me. I especially love all of the decorations people put out. On Christmas, my family builds a fire in our chimney and eat beignets.

My favorite season is Autumn because I love all of the colors of the leaves and it's always the perfect temperature for me. Also my birthday is in Autumn.
