The production of denim specifically has led the release  of carcinogen into the  environment.

Current solutions to the problem:
- As of now current solutions to the problem are the recycling of clothes through second hand stores.
- Social apps exist for cloth swapping

New Solutions:

- A corporate tax should be imposed on firms for total water consumption, with exponential growth based on consumptions on resources.

-Ban the use of carcinogenic dye or the dumping of it. Establish a system for the re-use of dye to reduce total waste.

-Subsidise the use of the sustainable dyes 

- Establish a pollution tax based on total waste going to the rivers and the environment. For example, Production limit is capped a x per year, beyond x 10$ will be charged for every pair of jeans.
