They are no longer enjoying it and are searching for ways to have more fun.  
 
A STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: The playground is outdated and the students are requesting an upgrade and improvements. As a school we have introduced concepts of sustainability; therefore we need to ensure that we solve this problem in a sustainable manner. What can we do to put fun back in the school playground? 
 
SPECIFICATIONS: You are required to upgrade or reconstruct the playground only within the area provided. The materials used for the actual playground must be sustainable. You will need to ensure to incorporate ideas from students within the school. You will be required to share your design ideas with the school community and principal for approval before commencing the model construction. You will need to ensure your model is inclusive of all children. Your design must allow children to transition from the ground up onto the play structure. Your design will need to be safe.
You will be required to use the recycled materials within our class to make your model of your chosen design to present to the school community. You need to complete the design and building of the playground model over 10 lessons in 5 weeks.
