Not caring or displaying little to no feelings, whether about a person, circumstance, or outcome, is known as indifference.

By trying to spread awareness and help out as you can you can make as much of a difference as anyone else can. By reaching out to the prime minister about the issues and giving a detailed report can help others and educate the government further.

Last year in August there were reports about police shooting and killing 6 people of the indigenous community. The indifference represents a larger refusal to address racism.

Lack of fresh drinking water on Reserves

3. Reserves are faced with challenges of fresh drinking water; having to boil every time they need to eat, brush teeth, and do basic human necessities. People just want the same as everyone else. The government claims they are putting a stop to long term boil advisories but still have 35 water advisories across Canada with maintenance issues, breakdowns and that nobody is planning or sending them to be fixed. People are forced to buy water in order to live. The indifference is being neglectful and not taking a moment to understand how it's affecting people.

Cities located in Nova Scotia are facing threatening issues of landfills and toxic facilities. People being affected are predominantly black or indigenous. In general, it is causing trauma, contaminated water, and health problems. The government has every opportunity to contribute even a small amount, but they choose to protest and continue as usual. The lack of concern from those who could help only out of hatred is being indifferent.

Inequality

Research has shown that Canadians are feeling hopeless due to the rise in cost for living. The challenges they face trying to keep themselves afloat with everything has made them powerless and letting it consume their life and having no control. The way inequality plays apart is showing how Canada should be a type D society. Having everyone equal and everyone is in the middle. Whereas now people say it is more a type A society like they did during 2019. A small batch of elite people are at the top, few at the middle and a large number of people at the bottom. The indifference is not seeing how this is affecting people. It's choosing to look for positive things instead of making the situation positive.

Around 1.7 million people experience homelessness every day in Canada. The indifference persists from the government by showing support but not actually doing it correctly. For example the government created emergency shelters instead of creating affordable housing permanently. People are also not making enough money. Jobs need to be accommodating for everyone. People assume that homelessness is always their fault. Mental issues, addiction etc which is why the ignorance of the public as well is just as important. You would want support if it was you.
