Lesson Plan.

How to be a teacher? First of all, you need to have your lesson plan. If you are already have your lesson plan, then you can teach your students orderly. Lesson plan is important because it helps and gives you insight for what to do in class while you are teaching. In this week, Sir asks us to complete our lesson plan for our chapter selection for micro-teaching. As for me, the chapter that I would like to teach is in the Form 5, Chapter 3 : Coordination and Response. The subtopic is 3.1 : Understanding Response and Coordination. Is it easy to be a teacher? That is what I am thinking when I, for the first time accept the offer to further my study in education in Biology. Of course it is hard, but as for me, I am started dreaming to become a teacher since I am in primary school. To be a teacher in the future is quite challenging because students nowadays are not the same as the students in the past. Nowadays, teachers need to be smart to attract the students attention and focus and have qualities of an effective teacher. One of the quality is effective teachers prepare well and have clear goals for their teaching (Joan Dean, 2000). First five weeks with Sir Furkan. The following weeks will be taken by Sir Hisyam. The last lesson in week 5 was the Models of Curriculum Construction. The first model is Tyler's/Objectives Model. It emphasizes the objectives -> content -> method -> evaluation. The second model is Interaction Model as known as Dynamic Model that may begin with any of the four curriculum element of Tyler's Model. The third one is Taba's Model as known as "Grass-roots approach". The steps of this model is diagnosis of needs -> selection of objectives -> selection of content -> organization of content -> selection of learning experience -> organization of learning experience -> determining of what to evaluate and how to evaluate it. SciTech 2018

Science and Technology Festival 2018 (SciTech2018) took place. It involved students part 2, 4 and 6 from Education of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. This festival was the third time be held. It had attracted a lot of pupils from different schools in Malaysia. Seven competitions that involved in this festival included Drama Science, School Lab Experiment, School Safety Awareness, Creation and Innovation, Water Rocket, Solar Car and Boat and Paper Plane. This festival will be hold again next year. Starting in the week 7, Sir Hisyam is taking over the class from Sir Furkan until the end of syllabus. This week, he started with the chapter that will come out in the Test 1 that will take place in the week 8. This week also the started of Micro-Teaching for ED247 4B. The teachers are Akmal, Hidayah, Farah, Amirul, Vallerie and Natasya. Test and Micro-Teaching Week for Me.

Test 1 was held on 22nd Oct while Micro-Teaching was on 24th Oct. This week was the terrifying week for me. I try my best to perform in this two event that occurred in the same week. I hope it will give a good result. As for the Micro-Teaching, I love to teach and I love children. I try my very best to deliver what I teach and make my students understand what I am teaching. But, there is still a lot of weaknesses that need to be improve. Second class with Sir Hisyam. Sir had finished topic of Curriculum Development Division (CDD). On Wednesday, the third group of Micro-Teaching did their teaching and learning. The teachers are Asyraf, Fatin, Soleyhah, Aiman, Solehatun and Syazana. This group did their very best in teaching us and their teaching aids had improved than the last two groups. I like their teaching aid and their teaching are understandable. They did a very good job. Last class with Sir Hisyam. Sir had finished all the syllabus for Curriculum and Instruction subject this week and maybe next two weeks we will have Test 2. On Wednesday, the fourth group of Micro-Teaching did their teaching and learning. The teachers were Jessica, Ainie, Aina, Ezzaty, Ammar and Hamzi. I am so impressed with their teaching this week especially from Teacher Ammar, Ezzaty and Aina. Their teaching aids are so interesting and all of them have good voice projection and intonation. Micro-Teaching week.

They are not repeating the same mistakes. A big applause for my classmates that did their Micro-Teaching this week. They are superb. May be a little bit of flaws but overall they did a really good job. Congratulation to Teacher Izzati, Wan, Shafiqa, Leona, Raihan, Ain, Fadhillah, Azlin, Noni and Amirah. What they taught us, we understand most of it. Their teaching-aids are very interesting and attracted our attention. The last batch for Micro-Teaching and the starting of discussion for Course Design week.

We have Teacher Ainaa, Saiful, Nasuha, Christ and Nasrin whose had been taught on Monday. The last batch had improved a lot because they already learned the mistakes we had been done. They also had spontaneous joke (what I remembered most from Teacher Nasrin) and their teaching-aid were superb. End of the Micro-Teaching session, I hope we can improve a lot and do a very good job in the future to become a teacher. While on Wednesday, the Course Design discussion had started. My group consists of Amirul, Zafri, Azlin, Raihan, Qistina and me. An early planning, we decided to do an event at the secondary school and our title for this upcoming event is "Biology Experiment Day". We do not have class this week but course design assignment is on going. 'Little Einstein' is our organization's name. As have been mention before, this organization is specialized in Science education and that is why we want to hold the event that focus on Science. This time, the event of 'Biology Experiment Day' is focus on understanding the experiment itself where the theory is put into practice. So, we hope that the students can have and gain more insight about the theory and the experiment. Last of EDU 555 class with Sir Furkan for this semester. There are a lot of things that I learned of this course for the whole Semester 4. A very special and a lot of thanks to Sir Furkan. There are a lot of things to tell but the most unforgettable was Micro-Teaching session. I had learned so many things before, during and after my Micro-Teaching. It was unforgettable memory I guess because it taught me how to become a better teacher in the future. Practice makes permanent. I will finished my journey till the end. I am half of the way now. My ambition to be a teacher since a long time ago, I will make it true. Last but not least, thank you Sir Furkan for this wonderful journey this semester with you. Till we meet again.
