Pi is Multicultural and curious to learn new thing about everything, and always looks at everything with an open mind, like when he brought Mr Kumar and Mr Kumar together

Role model

"It was the only pool that made Mamaji fall silent, his memory making too many lengths to mention." (Martel,12).

Mamaji is the reason Pi has his real name, it was inspired by his athleticism(swimming) and the Patel's looked up to Mamaji and respected his opinions.

"I stayed where i was, curled up near the prow. I was weak in body and in soul. I was afraid i would fall into the water if i tried to balance on the oar." (Martel, 128).

Pi's will to survive was shown when he dropped everything to find water. Water was the most important thing to him and he was ready to face Richard Parker to get what he needed to survive.

"The most dangerous animal in the zoo is man." (Martel,28).

Pi and his family show a great relationship between humans and animals, they gave their animals a ton of space to roam and treated them as if they were in the wild.
