They show her how to use the Xnet and she tells them that she's going to work on writing the story so Marcus and Ange leave her office. Once Marcus and Ange arrive at Ange's house, they decide to make up from the last fight they had by being very intimate with each other and it goes further than they expected. Afterword, Marcus gets on Xnet to check his emails. He finds a strange message from someone named, Masha. Masha tells Marcus that she was arrested just like he was by the DHS, and has very important information on them that Marcus may have if he wishes. She tells him that she is willing to fight for his cause, and wants him to join her to take the DHS down. Marcus isn't sure if he should trust her and is terrified that she could be the DHS messing with him. She proves to him that she is on his side by sending a confidential video with valuable information on it. Ange tells Marcus to calm down and email her back to settle things and finally take down the DHS. Ange and Marcus are a team now, and they will do whatever it takes to keep each other safe. By this he means that he is overthinking about all the consequences and benefits of joining forces with Masha, and it is making his head spin. 
~On page 275 Masha says,"Better to be a fighter than a martyr." When she says this, she means that this is a cause worth fighting for, and they can sit around and do nothing, or they can stand up and make a difference in the world.

He is willing to put his life on the line for a cause he is very passionate about, no matter the risks. The DHS took away his rights and now he is fighting for the rights of others to seek justice.
