Reflexión: We chose this topic because it has a lot of controversy, and sadly Mexico is one of the principle actors, drug trafficking is an issue that will always exist because of positive and negative drugs effects on the human body and on the environment, also it is a huge business for a lot of people illegal obviously and that's what makes it an uncontrollably big problem. This topic motivated me to find relevant information about drug trafficking and I hoped to find positive results about Mexico’s position, but it didn't happen. In a way it makes me feel insecure in my own country because drugs can be deal everywhere and so can be very close to me and to everyone. I think that way because most of the times authorities in Mexico are corrupt so I don't believe that they are very strict with the mexican constitution .

I personally chose this topic because drug trafficking is one of the biggest problems today and it is present here in Mexico, we see people affected by this problem very frequently. My motivation is that even though you think there’s nothing you can do about it there’s always something. for example we as students can spread the word about drugs and keep our friends from consuming drugs. I feel bad that Mexico is a country affected by this problem but I feel hopeful that we can help reduce this problem. I feel this way because I see there is a lot of people and organizations working against this problem.

We choose this topic because in the last decades drug trafficking has grown exponentially in Mexico, becoming an international conflict. drug cartels have been gaining power in a way that they have become of the richest organizations in Mexico. Drug trafficking as a business is an important problem because of the drug addicts and new people they drive to addictions every year as this new people become new buyers. The most damaging part of this cartels and the drug business are the problems it creates in the streets of Mexico as the cartels fight for the control of the territory that usually creates an armed fight between them and takes innocent casualties with them. Many laws and new ways of solving this problem are fighting this problem but in my opinion this will never stop unless we eliminate it from the roots. Every Time a leader of a cartel is captured by the authorities new leaders take the spot f the last one and this is because the demand will always exist and that is where we need to work if we teach the new generations how drugs affect the country we will stop the demand and this problem will be solved.

Almost every mexican is exposed to drug presence, and some groups are vulnerable to suffer consequences in their development and the realization of a healthy life. Drug trafficking affects the whole country, with a government submitted into corruption, unsafe streets, the traffic of armament and other related crimes like human and organ trafficking.
