In one of my science classes, we were told to create a structure that would protect an egg from falling at a great height. I was given no instructions other than the egg had to be safe. After successfully cracking over a dozen eggs, I learned what materials would support the egg and what would not. These observations led me to getting an A on my assignment.
On my first day of art class the class had to recreate a drawing that the teacher had done. I had zero experience so the drawing did not look very well. At the end of the semester the teacher had us draw the picture again. Since I had practicing and I had watched her draw all semester, I realized what my past mistakes were and created a great drawing.

In history class I was asked to label every state in the US without being given the list of states. This was challenging but to make it easier I used my prior knowledge of states to list all of them at the bottom. I labeled all of the common knowledge states and then proceeded to fill in the rest based off of my past road trips I had taken.
In English we were asked to read a novel that I had already read before and write a paper based on symbolism in the book. I had never heard of symbolism before and it was slightly hard for me to understand. However, since I already understood the novel, it was easy for me to find the symbolism in the book.

In an English class I was put into a group and we were asked to write a paper and each person had to do one page. Most of my group did amazing but there were two members who refused to communicate and didn't turn their page in until the day it was due. The two members had done horrible and brought the entire group's grade down. It was terrible.
In biology, we were in groups the entire semester and we completed all work together. We constantly communicated, had study groups, and helped each other. My grade was amazing and the group made the entire class fun.

In chemistry the class was learning about atomic models but we were only given definitions and pictures. Although we were paying attention and reading the material, we weren't really learning much. The teacher could tell and so he had the class split up in groups and each student represented a part of the atomic model. This really helped me understand the material.
In math we were learning mean, median, mode, etc.. and the teacher had us learn using our grades from the semester so far. She could have just given us homework sheets but she wanted to also teach us how to determine our grades in the future.

In my English class we were asked to type a paper in a completely different format than that I had done previously and it was very complicated for me. I was constantly anxious and procrastinated writing it. I finally sat down and told myself that I had to do this and this needed to be done if I wanted to become a teacher. Once I became motivated after focusing on my goals, I finally typed the paper.
This past semester I was struggling once everything transferred online and I did not think I could pass everything. After a few weeks and personal zoom calls with my professors, I had to face change and reprioritize my goals for the semester and I finally got the hang of things.
