The Renaissance was when people started getting creative and thinking up new ideas. Some of these ideas were the books written about their culture, religion, architecture and more. Things we might have learned from the books is that during the renaissance there were many painters and sculptors that created (or painted) many life-like sculptures of humans and much more. Also, we now know that there were many tragedies written around the Renaissance time period of the 1350s - 1500s.

The Reformation was a religious reform movement when people thought the church had become corrupt.

Science was a part of the Renaissance as they grew more in learning and "scientific knowledge" since they had just figured out how to read and understand Greek and Roman "science advances". Some of their science included things they built such as domes that were taller than original (or "early buildings"). An example of one of their inventions was their printing press that could be moved easily. The inventor of this was Johann Gutenberg from Germany.

These were wars that were fought between Catholics and Protestants after they had their reformations. As some Protestants and Catholics did keep peace, the ones that didn't left Europe in ruins causing social changes in Europe that led people to looking at science for answers.

The Science Revolution was "the series of events that led to the birth of modern science" and started around the 1500s. Though, it was throughout the 1500s and 1600s that people started paying mind to things that had to do with science and not just going off of what they heard. Most people before this time period had just relied on "authorities" to tell them all they were to know about science matters.

One of the advancements in science included exploration where people that had the gut, went on long voyages including upgraded compasses and astrolabes that all played a large part in the sailors' role. The reason people set out was in hope of finding new lands and "routes" that would help them travel easier and faster while changing the view of exploration. Some people also just wanted to experience the thrill of adventure, while others were deep in the hope of finding treasures (land, possibly gold, products etc.) that could lead them to a bright future with a beg fortune.

The enlightenment was a time where people "began to put great importance on reason or logical thought." They challenged many things trying to figure out what was behind them helping to solve mysteries (problems). As time rolled by people also developed new ideas on government and what the purpose of it should be. All these steps led to more and more creating a government known as Democracy.

Because of conflicts, a Civil War started as a result of leaders greedy for power. In about 1640- 1690, many important events took place such as a request for a "former king's son to rule England as Charles 11". Another main event that took place was the making of the English Bill of Rights that limited power of the monarchs.

The American Revolution was around the late 1700s and was a cause of colonists that were tired of how the British ruled. It started with them protesting and going against/not agreeing with much Britain was a part of, turning into much more than that. This all led to the Revolutionary War causing the colonist's leaders to allege Britain "denied their rights". The colonist's leaders then created/wrote a document that they all signed with courage and faith to show they believed in freedom, starting a new nation that had a fresh start.

As the "Americans" had just had their own revolution, the French realized they also were being treated unfairly by being separated into 3 classes that were known as "estates". The French disliked the social classes and then decided to do something about it causing their own revolution, (that was mostly made up of the 3rd Estate members.) This was because they were the main ones that understood and felt how unfairly they were being treated as they paid the most for taxes and were often poor and starving.

Whether you realize it or not, before any of this people created things such as clothes by hand and got the idea of a robot- like machine doing things for them during the 1700s. This made for a big advancement since they had just come from hand- making (sewing) fabrics to make clothes. The textile industry didn't just make for an easier way to make clothing materials, it made it faster since the machines were so effictient.

One of the other places that got this news was Great Britain and different parts of Europe. Over time the industry continued to get larger and stronger gaining workers each day leading to "a new economic system called capitalism.
