They watched the video completely the first time, then chunked the video the second time to jot down important parts as they gathered information.]]> 2017-07-12 14:54:02 UTC https://padlet.com/bnelson16/bavc78eup96w/wish/178570879 bnelson16 https://padlet.com/bnelson16/bavc78eup96w/wish/178570918 Students use Google Classroom to take weekly spelling test, work on reading fluency and vocabulary by completing assignments created in slides and added to google classroom.]]> 2017-07-12 14:54:29 UTC https://padlet.com/bnelson16/bavc78eup96w/wish/178570918 bnelson16 https://padlet.com/bnelson16/bavc78eup96w/wish/178570969 Using Discovery Education creating assignments, I created an assignment on the life cycle of a butterfly where the students had to read and follow direction and write about what they were learning.  My students watched an embedded video from Discovery  and I uploaded a power point in which a flow map was created so students could drag and drop the butterfly life cycle in the correct order and label it with vocabulary: egg, larva, pupa, and adult.  Students then printed their flow maps.  Students used index cards to write about each stage of the life cycle for a major grade in science.  Students really liked this project.
