My name is Laura Alejandra Santander Aguilar and I’m gonna share a few things about me. I am 18 years old and I am studying international business, I am single now and I don’t have children. In my free time I like to read a lot, I like to travel on vacation with my family, I watch series and movies, and I go out with my friends, I also like to eat a lot, I love ice cream.

 

I am from Agustin Codazzi, Cesar, however, now I live in Barranquilla. I live with my aunt on my father’s side and my cousin in a big house. My house is white, there are two Windows, there is a door, there are three bedrooms and there is a bathroom. My house is very comfortable and very spacious too. There are big houses next to my house, across from my house there is a small park, there is a school next to the park, and there is also a small store nearby.

Now, a little bit of my  daily routine. Usually, I get up at 7:30 am, then I have breakfast at 8 am, normally I eat eggs, breads, potatoes, cereals, milk, natural juices, cheese, or waffles. I go to work after eating breakfast. I have lunch at 1 pm, I eat rice, soup, pasta, beef, or pork for lunch. I go back home at 5:30 pm, after I cook my dinner, I have dinner at 7 pm, then I go to bed to sleep at 10 pm. I practice English every day. Finally, on weekends  I do my homework and I watch series and movies, because I usually stay at home all day, and at night I go out to eat with my friends.

 

Es muy importante para todos nosotros aprender a manejar una segunda lengua, ya que hoy en día es un requisito, una necesidad y una gran puerta de entrada para muchas acciones de nuestra vida personal, ya sea para conseguir un trabajo, viajar al exterior, conocer personas de diferentes lugares del mundo, y demás actividades realizadas por cada persona.

 

 

Reflexión final:  Es importante dominar una segunda lengua, ya que nos sirve como base para nuestra superación personal y profesional.

Now, I am going to talk about my city. I live in Barranquilla. In this city there are many touristic places like “Malecon del rio”, monument “La Ventana del mundo”. Also, there are different beaches.

The typical food in Barranquilla is the Fried Mojarra with coconut rice, salad, patacón, panela water with lemon. Normally, the visitors eat this food in different restaurants.

On February, people always celebrate the carnival, also known as “The carnival of Barranquilla”. People usually carry out parades, concerts, and others typical activities of this festivity. 

In conclusion, Barranquilla is a great tourist city, the visitors can go to the Malecon, and the Ventana del mundo frecuently. And visit the beaches, the museums, and the zoo, too. Additionally, they can enjoy typical foods, and learn more about the culture of this city.

Le doy esta calificación, porque a pesar de comprender muy bien la actividad y presentar un buen desarrollo de esta, mi participación en el foro no fue muy activa, por lo que no pude obtener las correcciones pertinentes del tutor. Aunque, participe en los distintos TCP y B-Learning para desarrollar correctamente la actividad. 

Para la presentación del video le dedique suficiente tiempo para entregar una buena presentación al tutor y entregarla en la actividad. Esto, me ha ayudado mucho en mejor mi pronunciación de algunas palabras que no conocía, y también me ha ayudado a afrontar mi miedo a hablar y expresarme en ingles en público.
