They had Limited Voting Rights. Like before the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, women in the United States were largely denied the right to vote. The lack of suffrage limited them being able to advocate for what their interests are.

Susan B. Anthony was an important role in the women's suffrage movement in the United States. She was a pioneer crusader who dedicated her life to speak up to fix women's right to vote. As president of the National Woman Suffrage Association from 1892 to 1900, she played a important role in organizing and leading efforts to allow voting rights for women. Her determination and leadership helped guide the way for the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920 to eventually be created. The ninetieth amendment granted women the right to vote in the United States.

Stanton was a big part in organizing the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls in 1848, where she introduced the "Declaration of Sentiments," which called for women's suffrage and launched the women's rights movement in the United States. Throughout her life, Stanton was an amazing writer and speaker, advocating for women's rights through different platforms. She co-founded the National Woman Suffrage Association in 1869 and served as its president, later becoming the first president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. Stanton also drafted a federal suffrage amendment in 1878, which was introduced in Congress repeatedly until the Nineteenth Amendment was passed in 1920. Her efforts, writings, and leadership significantly influenced the suffrage movement, inspiring many generations to continue the fight for women's voting rights during the Progressive Era.

The final big problems were Social and Cultural Expectations. Women were often expected to believe in traditional roles centered around domestic responsibilities. This limited women's opportunities for professional advancement and personal autonomy.

She also launched the Woman's Journal in 1870, a publication that became a crucial platform for suffrage advocacy. The AWSA eventually merged with the National Woman Suffrage Association in 1890 to form the National American Woman Suffrage Association, which played a central role in the suffrage victories of the Progressive Era.

Initially, suffragists focused on securing voting rights for women through amendments to state constitutions. This approach saw success in several states, particularly in the West, with Wyoming granting women the right to vote in 1869 and becoming the first state to do so when it joined the Union in 1890. By 1918, women had equal suffrage with men in 15 states, which helped build political support for a federal amendment.

The ultimate solution was the passage and ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. After decades of advocacy and multiple failed attempts, the amendment was passed by Congress in 1919 and ratified by the necessary number of states in 1920. This amendment officially extended the right to vote to women nationwide, marking a significant victory for the suffrage movement.
