1st Step- We will talk about what we are about to do and what is expected, we will show pictures of each type of pollution to get an idea of the topic.
2nd Step-  We will talk about some things that are similar between the pictures we have shown and what looks different. We will write what the children say under each picture and also on a similarities and differences paper, what we can do to help reduce pollution.
3rd Step- We will break up into three groups of six children, one group will learn about land pollution, the second group will learn about air pollution, and the third group will learn about water pollution. Children will decide who will be the readers to read the article out loud to the group and who are the writers.
 4th Step- All the students will be given their own articles and will have 10 minutes to read, talk and write down the information given in the article, they will write down things that can help, things that are harmful, what is the main source/ cause of pollution, how can we reduce,ect.
5th Step- We will switch up the groups so one writer will go to the group to the left of them and one reader will go to the group to the right of them, the reader will take a writers paper so then every table still has the original paper. Everyone that switches will also take their article with them. Then all the groups will be mixed up.
6th Step- Now we will take 15 minutes for the group to talk and write down the other two pollution types in their own boxes on the paper. Writing down all the same information they did with their first group.
7th Step- We will go back to our first group and discuss everything we have learned about the pollution types, and come up with ideas to help reduce pollution, the cause of pollution.
8th Step- From what have read and learned about pollution we will build off of the what we wrote about in the first steps after seeing the pictures and write down the differences, similarities, what we do help reduce pollution, what the main source/cause of pollution.
9th Step- We will talk about what surprised us the most about pollution.
10th- We will use our knowledge we have learned and make a classroom plan on how to reduce pollution and also start by recycling in the classroom.
