Dear Kate
Today, I feel so happy when hearing that you are coming to Vietnam. I was lived here for a very long time, so I think I can give you a suggestion about a place of interest, hope that you can have more useful resources for your trip. So, the first place that I recommend to you is Quang Ninh Museum. It is in Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province – one of the most famous and must–go if you want to explore the true beauty of majestic natural wonder, the blue of beach water, the blue of clear sky, and blue of island and cave. The architecture of the museum is designed by a Spanish architect Salvador Perez Arroyo with the ideal from the image of coal – a typical mineral of the region. Over the years, it has become a unique art and culture work, an attractive place for locals and tourists. Come here, not only that you can see many beautiful landscapes but also learn more about the history and traditional culture of this land. And this is all I want to introduce to you, wish you have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday and remember to text me back. Look forward to seeing you soon. Best wishes.

Dear Namjoon,
It's great that you can travel to my city - Hanoi. I know you will only spend one day here, so I will suggest you some places to go here.
If you come here early in the morning, you can walk around Hoan Kiem Lake. A lot of people come here to exercise, not only locals nearby, but also many foreign tourists like you. After leaving Hoan Kiem Lake, you can take a taxi to the nearby Old Quarter and visit its 36 streets. This place is usually crowded during the day and night, but at night here you will enjoy the beautiful light emitted by the colourful lanterns. Then, you can go to a restaurant right in the Old Quarter to eat our traditional dishes. Hanoi also has a famous drink called egg coffee. I'm sure you've never even heard of this drink, so give it a try.
Unfortunately, due to the current epidemic situation, I can't experience the great places in Hanoi with you, but I hope my suggestions will bring you a good time in this city.
Best wishes,
Nguyet

Dear Pennis,
I have heard from a friend of mine that you are coming to Vietnam and spending a day in my city, right? You are so lucky to have me as your tour guide for this special occasion. Of course, a day isn't enough to explore, but I will help you to visit three of the best places you've ever been. The first location we are going to visit is Thang Long water puppet theatre. You may consider it strange, but it is one of the most famous place of interest in Hanoi all year round. At there, you will be able to watch many water puppet shows, which are performed on a lake by some of the most skillful artisans. You may buy some as souvenirs as well. Secondly, we are ready to explore the first university in Vietnam - Temple of Literature. It is located in the middle of the city. Since it is so big, streets around it are named after it! You will be amazed by the various historical artefacts displayed inside. You can also buy many interesting souvenirs, such as historical coins, handicrafts,.... To end our trip, I am going to take you to The Old Quarters. Walking on the streets, you will see a lot of historical houses that today are still used to live in, cause no one wants to ruin it, they all have a mysterious love with it. Besides, you can also have a try at some street foods. You definately won't regret. That's the end of my plan for your trip. I hope you are happy with it.
Best wishes,
Hieu

Dear Jennie,

The place I feel most wonderful is Hoi An. There are many interesting things you can do here, but I think with one day you are able to do three things. First, you can go for a walk around the streets surrounded by the atmosphere of times gone by. Especially, if you visit the town during the full moon, you can enjoy the beautiful lights from colourful lanterns. Secondly, you can get some new threads. One of Hoi An’s biggest tourist drawing cards are the tailors that line the streets in the centre of town. Whatever you want to be made, someone can make it happen as quickly as within 24 hours. Last but not least, as a cuisine lover, you should definitely treat yourself with various special dishes here. I suggest that you try Cao Lau with an authentic taste at Mermaid Restaurant. If you want to find something a little adventurous, you can also taste egg coffee at Cafe 57, my favourite shop. Believe me! It would be really worth a try. Tell me when you’re coming so I can take you to travel around.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Best wishes

Dear Annie,

I am very excited and happy that you can come to my city for the weekend. Hanoi is quite large, so if you don't have any plans yet, I can suggest you some great places in this city. First, you can visit the Temple of Literature - the first university in Vietnam. Temple of Literature situated on Van Mieu street, about 2km away from Hoan Kiem lake to the West, so it only takes you 30 minutes to go from the airport to this place. Temple of Literature is on top of historical and beautiful sightseeing, is a place to honor Vietnam’s senior doctors and scholars. Then you can visit Hoan Kiem Lake - a very famous place in Hanoi. When coming here, you can go to Ngoc Son temple, look round the lake and see the stately Turtle tower. After that, can we meet and have lunch together ? We haven't seen each other for a long time.

Look forward to seeing you soon !

Best regards,

Ngoc Linh

Dear Mark
Thank you for your previous letter, it was great to hear from you again since the last time we met. At the end of your letter, I notice you have mentioned visiting Hanoi for a day in the near future. As a foreigner, I know you may struggle in choosing the places to visit, so I am writing this letter to give you some helpful advice. The first place I recommend you is Ngoc Son Temple – located near Hoan Kiem Lake, one of the most iconic destinations in this city. Visiting Ngoc Son temple, you can experience the spiritual atmosphere here, the antique beauty of a hundred-year-old temple which marked the development of Hanoi throughout history. Our next destination is Bat Trang pottery village, also a famous place of interest you can’t miss when traveling in Hanoi. Not only can you observe the process of creating ceramic products, but you can also make beautiful pottery by yourself - it’s quite interesting, isn’t it? In addition, I think buying some pottery as souvenirs is a great choice too, as it will remind you of this unique village. Lastly to end your day in Hanoi I recommend you should visit West Lake in Tay Ho district. There is not much to see, but coming to West Lake, you can experience the daily life of Hanoi people as well as try the delicious food. One of my favorites here is banh tom – but there are also other dishes: bun rieu, Vietnamese iced coffee… Sitting in the windy weather of West Lake, watching the sunset while having some iced coffee - what a perfect way to end the day! I hope these guides will help you have a memorable day in Hanoi.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
Yours truly
Quynh

Dear Andy,
I'm writing this email to give you some suggestions of places you should visit when you come to my city. So, in your latest email, you wrote that you're going to spend a day in Hanoi. As your friend, I will recommend some places for you to visit during your vacation. The destination that you must go to once you get to Ha Noi is Hoan Kiem Lake. It is said that if you have not been to Hoan Kiem Lake, you have not been to Ha Noi. Hoan Kiem Lake at night has an incredible view. When night falls, the colorful lights strung around the lake and Turtle Tower turn on. The collaboration between the lights and Hoan Kiem Lake makes a breath-taking view at night. Besides the lake, there are lots of ice cream shops. Those ice creams are so good that they can't be described in words. You can relax and healing yourself while walking around the lake with an ice cream in your hand. As a teenager, you should visit the walking streets right next to Hoan Kiem Lake. The next destination is so close to Hoan Kiem Lake, you only have to turn around and the walking streets are in front of you. The walking streets are one of the best choices for teenagers to go to at night. The walking streets open from seven on Friday evening to midnight on Sunday. On the streets, there are performances by teenagers such as singing or street dance. You can also experience Vietnamese folk games. Those are every Vietnamese childhood. Otherwise, if you want to bring some things home as souvenirs, you can ask some artists to draw you a portrait. I'm sure that you will enjoy yourselves so much there.
Call me when you arrive at the airport, my dad and I will pick you up after that we will give you a tour around Hanoi.
Looking forward,
Minh Tâm

Dear Owen

This is Hung from Vietnam.

I was very happy and surprised right after reading the message that you will go to Vietnam for a 1-day tour.

So, I will recommend you some places that are very interesting and highly recommended in our capital Hanoi (it would be nice if I could go with you too).

The first place that I want to tell you is "Hanoi Old Quarter"- A famous tourist destination that attracts many visitors. When you come here, you will have an experience of going back in time to the 90s. At this place you can take souvenir photos with models of old cars, go sightseeing, cross the bridges and buy handmade folk goods to take home. According to my suggestion, you can stay here until the end of the noon, because the cuisine in this place is very large and diverse, including old dishes mixed with a bit of modern day.

In the afternoon, you can go to Rosa studio in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi. This studio is a place with many beautiful scenes located in the heart of Hanoi. You can rent a set of clothes and spread yourself in the middle of a flower field for beautiful photos, or cosplay Chinese ancient costumes to take photos in the background of old stilt houses. Afternoon is the best time without any tools to adjust the brightness and the set here also has very good colors, giving you many memories saved as pictures in my country.

In the evening, before getting ready to board the plane to go home, you can visit Sword Lake to have a relaxing time after a long day. The sunset here is also very beautiful, you can take pictures with the "Turtle Tower" in the middle of the river or step over the bridge "The Huc" and enjoy a variety of afternoon dishes and evening time here.

Those are the places that I recommend to you to go in a day, hope you have a memorable day at this place!

Look forward to seeing you soon

Best regards,

Hung.

A city is facing up to more and more problems everyday. The first disadvantages is the rising cost of living. The living cost in a city is increasing, which means urban dwellers will find it harder to make ends meet. They have to pay higher prices for food, accommodation, transportation,... The second problem is traffic jams. The rise in urban dwellers directly leads to the increasing number of vehicles. Consequently, traffic jams are inevitable, especially in downtown areas. Last but not least, air pollution is the easiest problem to be recognized. Fumes and smoke from transportations are the main factors resulting in this negative aspect. It not only affects human's health negatively, but also has a bad influence on the environment. To sum up, high living cost, traffic jams and air pollution are the main factors contributing to a more difficult city life.

Cars, motorbike and factor treat milions of dust and smoke into the environment. Second, living in the city that face the polutions more than the countryside. In the countryside , we have field and lots of grass can clean the air but in the city we just have building and building. Here, traffic jams gradually become obvious. It happens every day, even on Saturdays and Sundays. People may feel panic because of the crowdedness of motorbikes and cars on the road during rush hour. Another bad point of the city is noise pollution. The sound of engines and horns from vehicles on a busy street is annoying. And there are unfinished construction works, with the loud sound of drilling machines that you will sometimes hear on the street. Crowded cities are densely populated, so noise even comes from people. Last but not least, is air pollution. It always has bad effects on our lives. Emissions from the fuel combustion of vehicles, industrial plants, etc, are contributing to air pollution. Global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer are serious consequences of this terrible issue. In conclusion, traffic jams, noise and air pollution cause many negative impacts on people's lives.

I really don't think living in the city is a good choice. The first and most serious reason in my opinion is traffic jams and traffic accidents. The amount of traffic is increasing, not decreasing, so this problem is becoming more and more serious. Next, the problem of environmental pollution in general and air pollution in particular is equally serious. Smoke and toxic substances mainly come from vehicles, factories, factories, etc. and also a small part from cigarette smoke. This greatly affects the health of everyone, especially children. They may have lung and respiratory diseases. Third, in the city, the crime rate is higher than in the countryside, because city dwellers are more affluent, so criminals will often keep an eye on them. In short, although I don't like city life because it has so many downsides, aren't the downside born to be overcome?

Every day, I would come to the basketball court right in front of my house with my cousin, my neighborhood wasn’t populous at all so I can play there whenever I want to, I was having a lot of fun with my cousin. But things changed, in a really bad way. One day I woke up to see a bunch of people on the basketball court, I tried to fit in and play along but they keep taking my ball and use it as it belongs to them, they haven’t even gave it back to me since a week ago. Those toxic city dwellers come every morning and afternoon, litter their used plastic water bottle, pollute the air with their cigarettes, bother everyone with filthy words coming out of their mouths… If only there was a way to get rid of them
-Based on a real event-

Entering the 21st century, urbanlizations are happening faster than ever all over the world. Yet, every coin has two sides, the growth in the number of cities not only benefits but also worsen the life of its resident with numbers of drawbacks. The first problem to begin with is the environmental issue. Smoke from vehicles and factories, industrial and household waste, plastic bags… and so on. These products are undoubtedly suitable with the hectic and busy life in the cities, yet has such negative effects on the environment. Plastics take hundreds years to decay, while smokes like carbon dioxide destroy the ozone layer and directly result in global warming. In my view, if the city dwellers cannot live heathily, advanced technology and strong economic would have such little meanings. For those reasons, I have come up with some solutions to the problem. To begin, the government may put stronger fines on companies which don’t treat their waste properly so as to reduce industial waste. Encourage people to use public transportations instead of personal one is also not a bad idea. By that way, the cities will have much less cars and motorbikes, creating a cleaner atmostphere for everyone. Last but not least, the city government as well as the residents should make effort to cut down on the use of plastics. Many alternatives are available, for example paper straws and cups, tote bags or recyclable bottles..These products will biodagrade in a short time so they don’t leave any waste left. Protecting the environments requires a lot of time and hard works, nevertheless, with effective solutions and a determined will, nothing is impossible.

Dear Phuc,
Life in the city has long been a hankering for many people because of the benefits it brings. First, it provides us with many employment opportunities to increase income, feed ourselves and our families. There are a lot of kind of jobs from teachers, maketing, designers, ... which need a great human resource. Therefore, people feel easy to find a suitable job. In addition, the quality of life in cities is much better than in rural areas. The infrastructure is modern and there are full of services for the people. More and more entertainment centers, commercial centers, hospitals and schools are built. It means that people's health is better and their needs for entertainment are better. However, besides these positive aspects, the city still has some drawbacks. First of all, because of many factories, transportation and large population, the air here is very polluted, the road is full of smoke and dust, as a result it makes a bad effect on people's health. In addition, due to immigration, so many people rushed to the city so the cost of services and equipment is quite expensive. This is also the cause of a number of social evils such as theft, addiction, gambling. Today there are many large cities grow up, more and more people migrate in the city, but besides the positive aspects, the city still has limitations that no one wishes. Everyone should take consideration before deciding where to live.
Thank you for listening!

Hoi An has been recognized as a World Heritage site since 1999 by UNESCO. It is situated in the coastal plain of Quang Nam province.

I want to visit Australia. Because Australia has a fascinating Aussie lifestyle, the beach and even more are shimmering cities. With a land area larger than Europe and an incredibly low population density, it’s no wonder up to 85 percent of Australians live in the city (and along the coast). Scattered between mountains, wilds, rivers, and ocean, Australia’s metropolitan areas deliver some pretty extraordinary urban experiences. From Sydney’s pulsating ambiance, vibrant culture, and enticing beach lifestyle to Melbourne’s charming European flair and unsurpassed coffee culture, there are a plethora of amazing things you can do, see, and experience in Australia’s shimmering cities.

Dear Linda,

It's great to know that you're coming to Viet Nam. I hope you’ll have a good time spending one day in Ha Noi.

There are many interesting places in the city, but I’d like to introduce you three places today. The first place is Hoan Kiem Lake. It's one of the symbols of Ha Noi. There you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and visit Ngoc Son Temple. You can also go for a walk at the Old Quarter, wander around the old streets and some ancient houses to explore Vietnamese culture. The second place is The Temple of Literature. Since you like history very much, it's a must-see place. Because it is a history place, of course. Fortunately, these places are close to one another, so you can walk around easily. It is Museum of Ethnography. You can research and learn about culture of different peoples in Viet Nam.

Tell me when you're coming, so I can show you around these places.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

 Best wishes,

 Phuong Thuy

I think extended family with these 3 qualities will be youur best choices. Fistly, an extended family with lots of people needs to folerantly with each your wrong. But with your small mistake, big wrong is big problem and need everyone to sit down and to talk and resolve the drawback for you. So that don't be means and try to take e advantages of it. Secondly, between each person in extended family need everyone patien. Living in a extended means that live with a lot of people and shared most things so that we must wait to our turn for everything. If you don't, there will be a big problem and everyone will argue each other. Finally, to make your extended family more complicated, every one might be sympathetic. The generaltion distances is so big and it can make everyone fall out, lost relieve just because of the different in your thinking.

Living in an extended family always requires to have a wide range of different qualities to be able to get on with other members. Firstly, I think the most important characteristic is to be ready to share. Sharing is thought by many people to be one of the most vital factors keeping family’s relationships alive, making sure that everything is fair and everybody is happy about what they receive in order to avoid disagreement and jealousy, which can bring about many more serious consequences such as conflicts and even murder. For instance, it is not too rare to see controversial family murders on the news due to misunderstanding and lack of sharing in doling out property. Second, I think we are all in agreement that tolerant is what every family member has to have. Especially with small kids, we have to clean up their mess every day, have to put up with others’ misbehaviour, disobedience, and so forth. If in these cases, we are not tolerant, we will always be bad-tempered, annoyed and frustrated. Consequently, family members cannot get along. Last but not least, we should always be a good listener. We should always be there to listen to others’ questions, mistakes and confidences and help if possible. To illustrate, scientists have proven that confiding our thoughts, even when we don’t receive any helpful solutions, it still makes us more relaxed and relieved. These three above, in my belief, are the most important qualities needed to get along with members in an extended family.

I think three qualities would be necessary for people living in an extended family are obedient, easy-going and patient. First, you should be obedient because living in an extended family maybe have rules for everyone to live comfortably. Second, it may have some inconveniences so that you should be easy-going. Third, you should patient; otherwise, it could lead to a problem between each member in your family.
