The story that began with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and continued in Hollow City, comes to a conclusion with Library of Souls, all a series written by Ransom Riggs. As the last story opens, Jacob, a sixteen-year-old castaway boy from America, discovers a powerful new ability. With him are Addison macHenry, a talking and intelligent dog that can sniff peculiar children, and Emma Bloom, a girl who can create fire from her hands. They all find themselves in London diving through history, literally porthole to porthole, to rescue most of their peculiar companions from a heavily guarded fortress in Devil's Acre.

But Sharon wasn't covering his face or reaching for a mask-- he was just muttering "Drat, drat, drat" while the man's breath swriled around us, merging with the murk and reducing our visibility to nothing. Within a few seconds the man, the bridge he stood on, and the banks on either side of us had all been blotted out" (Chpt2 pg74).
