Hanis - Drama is a literary composition that consists of series of events telling a story, conflict and problem solving with a dash of comedy, romance or sadness portrayed in the play. It is also a theatrical play where actors can portray different emotions as they perform. 
Izzati - Drama is a form of art where the participants act out chosen scenes or role play. Drama can also last from minutes to hours.
Zhura-Drama is a profession of creating and acting the plays,movies and television series.
Nasuha - Drama is a written work that tells a story through action and speech and is acted out
Emelin - Drama is a performance that presenting the exciting story. There are various kind of drama such as traditional drama, musical drama and comedy. 
Ainin - In my opinion, drama is a set of scenes put together forming one full set of act consisting dialogues, movements and  Drama can be demonstrated live or recorded and played back. The highlight of drama is presenting scenes and acts on the stage.

Shima-For me, drama is a play that is fun and entertaining but requires great acting and directing. The actors must know how to memorize long scripts and display great emotions according to the script given. The director how to direct the play so that it turns out well.
Natasha - Drama refers to the performance of written dialogue. It allows the actors to portray a story through the dialogue that usually involving conflicts and emotions. 
Huda - Drama is one of the literature compositions that display life of a character or tell a story engaging conflicts and dialogue through action; play. 
 Wong- Drama is a long movie and it is presenting a story to the audience. There are many characters in the drama to play their respective roles. They played their roles perfectly to interpret every story that happened in the drama.

Anis - A play/theatrical performance where all of the casts turn any written prose or stories into actions on stage. Drama consists expression of countless emotions, interesting settings, remarkable plots and so on. 
Alif - For me, drama is an activity that involves acting and role-playing . It requires skills, talent and teamwork in order to create a great dramatization for others to watch


Chew: In my opinion, drama is an interesting genre to learn in literature which it requires a good storyline and collaborations of actors. It is how the people makes the whole story plots become lively with the facial expression, emotions, body movement and voice projection.

azirul - i regard drama as a form of art where anyone can be anyone in short period of time. you disregard your normal self in order to dive into the character. it also like travelling back in time. for example, if the drama is based on thing that happen in the past, you'd have to act like people during that era. that include their  clothing, behavior, linguistic and others. you learn as you do, watching drama alone could be enjoyable but getting involve in the making would be a great experience to have.

Iskandar - Drama is a form art and expression that incorporates the elements of movements, visual, and music to act out an event with an addition of exaggeration to tell stories or events in a more entertaining and attracting manner

Alia: 
For me, drama is a literary composition that tells a story through a variety of genres such as comedy drama and romantic drama. The highlight of a drama is the characters themselves. A successful drama will have a remarkable plot involving conflicts and contrast of characters which will be supported with powerful dialogues. 

Dhini- Drama is a mode of fictional representation through dialogue and performance. It is one of the literary genres, which is an imitation of some action.

Shakila - drama is a form of art that requires the actors to have a great skills of acting. Emotion plays major role in drama in order for the audience to enjoy the performance

Farah - Drama is a stage performance or written text that contains a storyline. It is being shown or performed by characters that have their own roles.

Hanis - I had participated in a drama festival when I was in highschool and we had to play 'Alice In Wonderland'. It was quite a long journey for us to prepare for everything. I think the hardest part in the drama was the depiction of emotion when we were performing because obviously we have to scrounge the lines that we had remembered but sometimes might forget. Although I was only portraying as the crew, the nerves in me were flying around when We didn't win the competition but we definitely had so much fun and gained so much experience.

Anis - My experience in drama was when I was in high school and PPISMP. In high school, I was in a play titled 'Red Riding Hood' and I played 'Mother'. It was a very stupendous first experience. In PPISMP, I played Juliet for the play of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. It was unfortunate that I could not perform this play in front of the primary school children because of the lockdown.



Izzati - I joined a drama performance back in high school. I played the 'step-mother'
in Cinderella. We did not have much participants per group so we had to adjust the storyline to the number of actresses. The drama was only for fun though so we did not have to actually spend much money on the props and the outfits. However, it was really fun because I got to do it with my bestfriends although I could not hold myself from laughing during the act.

Nasuha - I do not participate in any drama performance when I was in school because my school does not have a drama or acting club. The only drama I've ever done is in 2PPISMP where we had to do a play on Romeo and Juliet. My character was Lady Montague. Although Lady Montague does not have to portray any strong emotion or feeling, I still found it hard to convey the personality of the character. Then, I realised that acting is tough and require great skills. 

Emelin - My own experience in drama at school is when i was in high school. I was part of English Motivational Committee and during English Week, we had to perform a drama and we choose Rapunzel. I remembered that we had to sew a few of shawl together to make it like Rapunzel's hair and when the actress wear it, its looks funny because we had to attach it to our neck not the head. Participating in the drama made me realized that every drama, the actor/ actress need to immerse in it or else the drama would not be interesting. So, the experience was so precious to me as I can try to act and portray a character that would be a new side of me.

Ainin - I honestly never got the chance to be in the drama club in school because it was always occupied and weren't accepting any new members. However, I grew up watching drama that my dad directed when he was a teacher back then. I would watch his students perform and practice everyday, I also witnessed how the crew set the stage, how the makeup artist reformed the actors and actresses into their designated characters. I saw their struggles to achieve that 'spot on' expression and intonation. It was such a surreal experience although I was just the daughter of the director. I loved the family bond the actors and actresses had and how they shared that with me too. From there, I grew up loving drama and I hope someday even if I don't get to act, I'd love to be a crew too. 

During 2PPISMP, my class took Drama course and acted Romeo and Juliet. Although we did not get to perform it because of covid, the practices that I experienced were fun. There were some intense moments and disagreements but I learnt to consider others' opinions which made the drama even more meaningful. I took on the role as Benvolio and I gotta say, acting is definitely not as easy as it looks. Memorizing scripts are also a tough one but I did it anyways. It was a nice experience to be a part of a drama team and I would love to be part of it again someday.
Shima-When I was in form 3, our class did a play on Rumpelstiltskin. It was very fun and memorable. I got to play the character of the king. It was quite hard because at first I do not know how to portray a king's character, the kind where he is aloof yet brimed with dignity. However, with the help of my teacher, I can play the role even if it not that perfect. Another thing that I remember is that I have difficulties in speaking out the script because of nervousness. We had to act in front of the other classes so it was quite nerve-wrecking. I can remember the scripts well off-stage but when I was on stage, I suddenly gone blank. We had to start it all over again after that. It was quite a disaster but it was really fun. I like it a lot, acting. 

Alif -  The only experience that I have for drama is the dramatisation of Romeo and Juliet where I was chosen to play a role as the father of Romeo. During the dramatisation, I have learned how difficult drama really is, and how important it is for us to work together and show a great teamwork. However, the experience only comes from the training and rehearsal as the actual dramatisation could not be perform due to circumstances.

Wong- In 2PPISMP, all TESL classes have a course that is TSLB 1064 Drama in English. We need to perform the drama in stage. The play that we performed was Shakespearean’ s literally work “Romeo and Juliet”. The character that I got in the play was Peter. It was a big challenge to me because Peter was a male character. Although we have no chance to act the drama on stanfe because of the pandemic, we still gain experince from it.

Iskandar - The only drama experience i've ever had was in 2PPISMP. Though the experience was cut short due to covid-19, the brief exposure gave me an insight regarding what is expected in a dramatization. The importance of voice projection, facial expression and rythm quickly made me realized that I lack most of the essentialities required to be an avid actor. However, the opportunity provided previously had opened my eyes to the criticality of drama and how drama can effectively be incorporated into my lessons to further motivate and attract my students.

Aqilah- It was a memorable experience during second semester of PPISMP when the TESL students had been assigned to perform a drama based on one of the legendary fictional story by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. Frankly speaking, I had never imagined myself standing on a stage, in front of many people, reading dialogue, and acting for a drama since I am not used to be exposed. But majoring TESL asked me to do otherwise. However, the drama experience was an enjoyable and pleasant episodes of my life at the campus. I realized that drama is extremely difficult to perform and require lots of skills. 

Huda - During 2PPISMP, I was assigned as the director for my class Romeo and Juliet drama. It was tough for me as it was the first time in my life that i had to direct a play. Because of that, a lot of misunderstandings happened during our practice sessions and i honestly feel bad until now that I did not manage to prove to my team that I am a worthy leader. However, I still did my best to be fair to everyone and things eventually got better but we could not pertform the stage play due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

Chew: In fact, I didn't have much experience in drama even though in my primary school or secondary school. I just got to know about drama when I was in 2PPISMP. So everything is new to me, my friends and I learn together during that sem. I found that voice projection is so much fun as it is also an important element in drama. 

Natasha - Honestly, the only drama that I participated in was during 2PPISMP. We were assigned to do an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet play by William Shakespeare. I was assigned two minor characters which are Chief Watchmen and First Servant. The character, Chief Watchmen is someone who orders the Second and Third Watchman to search and arrest whoever they find at the graveyard. The watchmen appear to be an intelligent unit as they managed to arrest Balthasar and Friar Laurance. Hence, the Chief Watchmen testify to the Prince about the murder and suicide incident that happened in Verona. Moreover, I was in charge of managing the audio system. We have to arrange the music and the background sound effect according to the scenes. Through this experience, I realized that producing a drama requires lots of effort and skills. 

Alia:
 I do not have any experience in drama at school because my school does not active in drama and does not open any participation for the students to join drama competition. However, I am so glad to have the opportunity to participate in drama when I was in PPISMP. It was such a wonderful experience. Indeed, the process of making a drama is difficult, tiring and requires commitment from everyone but it teaches me a lot as a student, future teacher and a person. 

Farah - In high school, I joined a drama competition and also had performed some acting on stage. I enjoyed it very much because it is so fun and it helps me to experience become other characters that are different from my own personality. There are some hard parts that I have to endure, but it was a really memorable experience.

Sofia - The only experience i have is during 2PISMP where our class did a play on Romeo and Juliet. I was assigned two minor roles. Looking back to it, I realise it was a fun and memorable experience even though it was difficult and took a lot of our outside of class time. Other than that, I just enjoy watching  theaters as i have watch a few of them since i join the SeTeGuH club. I love watching drama a lot.

Shakila - After I learn about the drama few semesters ago and got a chance to watch theater, i learn something new which is drama is not only about having loud voice all the time but also how you convey the right emotion with a clear voice.

Maisarah- I never got the chance to be in any drama clubs or even drama performances back in my high school. Maybe it is because of I am not qualified or I did not even try to be one but I still remember that I used to attend a lot of drama festivals as the audience and I really enjoy being the audience for the drama performance. It because of I can watch the whole performance and record some footages of the roleplay on the stage and post it on my social media with the #dramafestival. However, being the audience does not mean I am not learning anything as there was one time after the performance of ‘Cinderella’, audiences can join acting competition. So, I chose to act as the Prince Charming and it was so fun and less nerve-wrecking as I only performed it in class not on stage. I t was quite funny to act as a male but I enjoyed trying something different.  As I mentioned, maybe I did not learn that much but at least I got that precious experience.
Ayuni- Back in school, i had never participated in any dramatization so my first experience getting involve in dramatization was during 2PPISMP where we had the chance to do a play on Romeo and Juliet. It was a fun and memorable experience even though it was tiring and time consuming but it had taught me to trust the process and be a better person. I enjoyed the process of practicing for the play and preparing the props together with my classmates. 

Nia: My very first experience when I was 14. Honestly, I joined the drama because I played a bet with my friend. Since I was a newbie, it is best for me to play the side character, so I played the nurse. It was tough for me to play this character because the nurse is very a friendly and happy-go-lucky person, who would give muffins for everyone yet, cannot tolerate arrogant patient (the main actress in the play). She is the type who talks clumsily but never daydreaming when the operation is being held. the duality of her characteristics was very tough for me to adapt but it was a very remarkable experience for me. The next year, after my seniors in the club graduated, I was trusted by the previous director to continue his legacy xD. In my school drama club culture, the one who directs is also the one who writes the script. So, this year, I took the responsibility to write a nature-themed drama. I wrote almost 60% of the script while the other senior and my teacher took care of the rest. This year, it was also tough for me to recruit new talents. Most of the participants did not have any experience playing for drama before. And to their surprise, their first roles are the animals' characters who talk. There, I played the role of a flower fairy, who is fond of a human girl although nature and the animals despise the existence of humankind because of their selfish act of deforestations. Again, I played the friendly character that year, but also protective of the human girl from the animals with the urge of killing humans. I also had to be persuasive to encourage the animals to befriend the girl. But in the end, we are betrayed as the girl grew up and became a selfish adult who decided to clear the forest where we lived for her business. It was tough for me too to play a depressed character who got betrayed by someone she used to care for and turns miserable after the lion king punished her for believing the girl too much. The biggest change of this character was tough for me to adapt to since I had to immerse myself in that character to convey the best emotions throughout the drama. Next year, I played the character of a bully victim who got bullied because of her obesity. This is also quite tough for me because I had to adjust my walking pace, wears a lot of thick clothes to create an obese version of me. even there were times I felt suffocated but I enjoyed the character so much! She was discriminated against for her size and decided to lose weight, which makes her bulimia. This character is quite tiring and so not like me at all, because she cries a lot, screams a lot, falls on the ground a lot, eats and throwing up a lot. In this play, I had to be defenceless and helpless which are very challenging for me because, in my real life, I just can't ignore people who talk back to me xD, it is very hard to hold back and suppress wrath. But at least, the lesson that I learnt from this character is that we must stand for ourselves against bullying. Next year which is the final year in my school, I wrote an adapted version of Sleeping Beauty. This version is more to revealing why Aurora has been cursed by the witches and why the witches didn't get invited to her birthday celebration. The reason is because the queen was poisoned, causing her to miscarriage and the maids (who became witches to revenge for His Majesty’s decision for firing them) who were in charge for lunch that day, were to be blamed. The one accused them was my character, also a maid in the castle who is a childhood friend of the queen, who held grudges against Her Majesty because Her Majesty turns into a boastful queen who refused to stay friends with me after marrying the King, because of the difference of their societal status, when in fact, she was also a poor maiden before. In this drama, I am a maid who is both victim and predator, therefore, I had to convey an innocent image while also give a revengeful vibe. It was quite tough too for me because of this half-half characteristics. There are scenes where I need to laugh like a villain but few seconds later, I have to cry. It was so challenging to create the image of an oppressed, submissive and loyal maid, while I need to show the audience who’s the boss. Other than that, since this is a fairy tale genre, I learnt to modify how I wear my hijab to fit in with the story setting. Using my hijab, I managed to put on an image as if I have two braided ponytails. Last but not least, I took part in drama in IPG during my 2PPISMP. This drama is a new experience because the performance is held for 1 hour when I’ve just been experiencing performing 15minute dramatization. And this time I played a male character named Mercutio who is funny but cannot tolerate people who badmouths him and his friends. He’s quite impulsive, always down for a fight if something hurt his pride. I got to be creative and create a fight choreography that looks intimidating yet interesting because just swing the sword around in the drama can be really dull.

I've always preferred comedy as my favourite type of drama because watching dramas is an entertainment for me. My reality life has way too many conflicts and issues so I don't need another problematic tragedy to worry about when it comes to entertainment. Comedy drama can make me laugh, unlike others

Emelin -  There are three types of drama that I learned today in class which are tragedy, comedy and tragedy. I would choose comedy because it is fun and interesting drama and will keep me entertained during the whole story. The most important reason is I want to relieve my stress by resting and calming down by watching the drama.  I do not want to think too much when watching the drama and those will make me feel dizzy and uninterested.

Because comedy can not only bring moral education to the audience in a relaxed and happy way, but also bring laughter. This is due to the reasons where this type of drama must have a happy ending.  Other than that, it also contains humor that will surely make me feel lighthearted when watching it without having to dissect the dramatization in a serious way. Lastly, the silly, offbeat characters in this drama will definitely make me laugh a lot when watching this type of drama. Laughter is the best medicine after all. 

Alia:
 I have learned about the three types of drama which are tragedy, comedy and tragicomedy. My all-time favourite drama genre is tragicomedy because the plot of the story is more interesting with the combination of the tragic and comic elements. For me, I need both elements to keep me stay till the ending of the drama. It would be less stressful and less boring thanks to the perfect blends of the elements! 

Ainin - The three types of drama that I have learnt today are tragedy, comedy and tragicomedy. My favorite type of drama is comedy. This is because I have serious attachment issues when watching any form of acts. If I were to watch tragic drama or even movies, I would have a day or 2 of unnecessary emotions flowing through me as if I went through that tragedy. Therefore, I prefer watching comedy drama over tragic any day especially when I hit rock bottom. Other than that, comedy drama always lightens the mood and brings out the positivity for the day. Comedy also adds a touch of joyfulness and calmness. It assures me that although life can be tough, at least there’s something to laugh at.

Watching the drama with full of emotions and the feelings after crying is just feels good. Happy ending? Hmmm  never happens in real life. :)

Aqilah- Tragedy, comedy, and tragicomedy are the three types of drama that I have learned during the meeting session today. I prefer tragicomedy type of drama as it shows a combination of heart breaking and humorous scenes within a story. I love a drama that shows rise and falls because life is not always rainbows and butterflies. 

Nia: I learnt three types of drama today which are tragedy, comedy and tragicomedy. My preference is comedy because it is a perfect remedy for stress and although if i am not stressed, i will go for comedy too. Comedy genre teaches me to live my life comfortably and dont be too hard on myself too. For years watching comedy genre, my character building is improving, and i always find myself laugh over small things too xD.

Tragicomedy is a type of drama that can make me feel sad and devastating at first then make me laugh the next minute.
