<title> Bullying is important to educators due to the continuous nature of the issue. Bullying seems to always be an issue no matter the location, age, or gender. No matter the efforts taken by staff and faculty, students still seem to find a way and place to bully. With shows like 13 Reasons Why (a show about a young female committing suicide because of bullying) gaining popularity and students being more aware of the nature of bullying, it is important that faculty and staff do the same. This is why educators need to be very aware of all legal and ethical responsibilities. There were several legal and ethical issues mentioned in relation to bullying in, Adolescents Transitioning to High School: Sex Differences in Bullying Victimization Associated with Depressive Symptoms, Suicide Ideation, and Suicide Attempts by Susan G. Williams, Jennifer Langhinrichsen-Rohling, Cory Wornell, and Heather Finnegan. As mentioned in the title, depressive symptoms, suicide ideation, and suicide attempts were all addressed in this article in great depth. The authors talk about how bullying victimization influences all of these issues. Along with the issues aforementioned, researchers also looked at the differences in association to gender and the role it plays in bullying. American Society for Positive Care of Children’s website spoke of some groups that may be at a higher risk for encountering bullying such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered (LGBT) youth, youth with disabilities, and socially isolated youth. Future scenarios or situations that will be related to bullying would be suicide ideations and attempts. I am currently already working in a counseling position and this is something I had to deal with frequently this year. In most cases when I spoke with students who were having suicidal ideation the issues were related to bullying. I foresee this to continue to be an issue. </title>
