The American Dream can be many things in life people want, but it can really only happen when you have money or if you grew up in a good family. This song to me says that the American Dream is just a Dream and it does not come easy. You have to work to get you American Dream and there will be a struggle when reaching your American Dream. The song is contemplating about something profound, something about the universe perhaps.. who are we? where are we? why are we?. The song is says that the American Dream is just a dream but you have to work hard to reach it. But there are many dreams that can be that American dream. As in each verse there are no the same lyrics all of them are different like, Lover don't you come down, without a sword or a gun,. That lyric is saying things don't come easy without a fight that follows, that not everything in life is easy to reach, and you have to fight for things in life. So your American Dream won't come without the hardships and fights that you have go through to reach it.

Evans had results from American Enterprise Institute and the National Opinion Center of the University of Chicago, that 2,411 Americans are living the American Dream but have redefined it in their own way. She states "the report, subtitled Social Capital, Civic Health, and Quality of Life in the United States, found that the large majority of Americans are more satisfied with their lives than the news about income inequality might suggest." She says a whopping 85 percent of survey respondents said they are satisfied with their job, and 57 percent said their jobs gave them a sense of identity. She also states that the survey also asked what gives people a sense of community, and 90 percent said it was their circle of friends, their sense of American identity, and being part of the city or community in which they live. About three out of four are happy with where they live. This article says a lot about being happy with the American Dream but that is because they made it their own dream and found happiness in their American Dream. The American dream to her was to be a successful Entrepreneur and make my priorities God, Family and Personal Business. She is a wonderful Grandmother and i love her very much. She has always worked hard in her life and other people's lives. Her parents influenced her American Dream because of their work ethic, and later in life her best friend who gave her value in life and helped her to believe in herself, he was a great best friend. Part of her Hopes and Dreams have come true through her (3) children and almost 11 grandchildren. She has made her American Dream a reality and worked hard to reach her dreams she could, because even through she couldn't reach all her dreams she reached some and that is good enough for her right now. I think later on she will reach more of her dreams and do what she has always wanted. She means a lot to me and I hope she does reach the rest of her dreams because she deserves to.
