Inequity is defined as a lack of fairness. When placed against an ideology such as equality, it becomes apparent the issues that are at work in the health system. 
While everyone may be expected to receive proper and equal treatment when seeking medical help, equality is not always what is needed in some situations. Some individuals (or families) may need more than others.
