         <description><![CDATA[Radioactivity is the process by which unstable particles Decay into their stable isotopes. In the Process omitting one of three different types of radiation Alpha Beta or gamma. Once half of the nuclei have decayed from the particle it will become its stable isotope this is called its half-life. The way we can measure how old things are using this method is how much of a certain how much Particle in a substance has decayed away as time passes more and more of this Radioactive mass will Decay to its half-life 4 dating things closer to us we can use carbon-14. Carbon-14 half life is about 5,700 years. Free dating older things we use other Radioactive isotopes. For example uranium has a half-life of 4.47 billion years letting us stay things back to the beginning of our planet. This process of  radioactive dating his help scientists discover many interesting timeline aspects of our planets evolution.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Radioactivity is the natural break down of atoms. You can detect radioactivity using something called a Geiger Counter. As elements decay, their fragments fly into the Geiger Counter tube where each fragment causes a small electric current which causes the Geiger counter to register it. Radioactivity can be used to generate heat which can be used in nuclear power pants to make steam and generate electricity, also space probes like Voyager and Pioneer use radioactive material for their power.</div>]]></description>
