When I was 18, my best friend and I were driving in the mountains at night when suddenly there was a snow storm, the kind that blinds your sight. I think we took a wrong turn and ended up on a 1-lane road. It was so narrow we could have fallen off the cliff. Then the car engine stopped! My friend and I looked at each other, thinking that we might die, paused, then burst out laughing. Slowly, we backed down the hill in reverse. When we were finally on flat ground, the car turned back on, and we drove down to safety. I still remember that moment when you can laugh and see that no matter what, when you're with people you love, you'll be FINE!

One day back in 2020 I started digging a hole. After about two days I invited my friend over to dig with me. While I waited a response from his mom, I started adding stairs up to my massive hole in the ground. After my friend came over I started carving out a chair into the side of my hole before lunch. After we ate lunch we got back to digging. We only got to carry on for 10 minutes before i hit my friend in the head. he had to get 7 stitches but other than that he was fine... or so we thought. A month after we moved we got a letter from the state of california basically saying we got sued for 1.2 million dollars, the reason they were suing was for "emotional damages" that were later proven to be non-existent. In the end they got no money from us.

On Christmas break when I was 10 I got a dog. One day me and my parents were talking about how we wanted a pug or a corgi. The day after we saw that someone was selling a pug for $450 my parents decided to get it; but only on one condition we take care of it. After we agreed to take care of our new dog they went to go buy it. When they got home I saw my new puppy named Charlie and yet that was the best day of my life. A year later in my moms new apartment complex where she worked she found a Corgi outside freezing while it was raining. She took it inside and placed it in a box to see if anyone else would come look for there dog mind you this dog was not even 1 and was still a baby. No one came to look for it which made us think she was abandoned. My parents decided to keep her and took her to a vet to see if she had a chip. My parents surprised me and we named her Moty that was the second best day of my life.

When I was 11, me and my family went to a very weird beach. What I mean by is under the water there was mud. But I did not mind much so I was playing like a normal kid would. But then I had these googles on but whenever I would go underwater I couldn't see anything everything was just brown and gross. But then I went to deep and then started to drown I thought this was the end for this early 11 years old. I thought it was the end but then i suddenly woke up in a hospital bed and then the doctors said "Your mom saved you." I said how did she see me in time "no she saw you in the corner of her eyes". That is how I almost died drowned in a beach.

Instead of seeing a celebration I saw nothing, just bland. But then I heard the doorbell ring, when I heard it I thought it was regular old mail but actually it was my cousins who had brought me a dog. When I realized there was a dog I was so excited, after they had given me the dog I played with it. After I played with dog I named it Coco.

THE END

A couple months ago or a year ago, my dad let me drive on the road near the house. This was my first time driving on a road and I was really excited to drive and see what I know. When I was about to make a curve, either I wasn't driving quick enough or I didn't turn the steering wheel far to the left. I almost drove the car off the road and down to a tree that would've probably got the car stuck forever. My dad quickly grabbed the steering wheel and I immediately pressed them brakes to stop what was about to happen. I almost had to make my dad pay to fix that car that day. I did NOT swerve on that corner very well.

When I was |about 9 years old me and my cousins had attached two floaties together. I had came with my cousin and some of her older cousins. We had let the waves take us but we were moving to the deep. The more farther we had gone the waves were getting bigger and bigger. I had went to the small floatie attached to the bigger one. There was a big wave that had hit me and the wave had pushed me and I fell in the water. I was trying to swim up but I couldnt I was atleast 6 ft on the bottom of the ocean. So I swam up and had my hand out and it was my cousin with her hand trying to grab me. I grab onto her hand and she lift me on to the floatie and thankfully I was okay.

On May 4th, me and my family went to an ice cream shop called Jupiter's Ice Cream to celebrate my birthday that was going to be on May 5th. Dallon, my oldest brother, had gotten 2 scoops of Vanilla ice cream and I got a small cup of mint choco ice cream. When I was in the middle of eating mine I looked up and saw him not licking the ice cream, BUT BITING IT. He has multiple brain freezes and my dad kept laughing at him and now has a picture of his reaction. I kept telling him to not bite it, but he was too stubborn and kept going. He blamed us (jokingly) for the 8 different strokes he had with that stupid ice cream. It was pretty funny.

When I was young (1-5 years old) I was at my dad's house and I was in the living room, and it was freezing cold, but when I got into another room, it was hot. Me and my dad were trying to figure out why the room was freezing, when I went to sit down in an old rocking chair in the freezing cold room, when I realized that the chair in the room was the only thing that was hot. It creeped me and my dad out, and when the rocking chair was no longer warm, the room was back to normal. Late that night, I was in my bedroom, when I saw a dark figure reach out to grab me, it was my dad, he wanted to tell me goodnight. The next day I woke up to my dad just staring at the rocking chair, when I tried to say something to him he told me to hold that thought, the rocking chair began to rock back and fourth.

When I was around 6 years old I almsot drowned in a pool. It was my cousin's birthday and my whole family and I had gone to Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate. My brothers and me were having a good time going on all the fun rides and all the water slides. Even though t the time I didn't know how to swim I was still having a great time. There was this particular slide it was super huge and high and it was the best one there and ended with you in a huge pool. To this day the slide is no longer there but when it was there was lines of people waiting to get on it. My mom had taken me and we both got in line to ride it. Once we were to the top we got into a water tube for two people and since I was the younger one I was told to go in the front. I didn't think much of it but as soon as the guy pushed us forward and we just kept on going super fast, soon the tube had flipped and I had fallen in the deep in the pool and was basically drowning since I didn't know how to swim. The life gawrd had taken forever to grab me but thankfully the guy got me out the water and I was fine.

Mind you she was scared because she was in the back off a big truck that said "Doggie Compound. When she saw us she was lit up light a bright star.

When I was 8 I was walking to the snack store in Mexico and since there was a lot of dogs there I was most likely of getting bit or barked at. The snack store was 5 miles away and I was walking so I was gonna buy a soda. When I was halfway there, there was 3 dogs 2 small dogs and 1 big dog. While I was walking through of course they started barking and running. When I got to the store I bought my snacks and drinks and remebered that my family was having a carne asada. So after I bought my snacks the dogs started creeping up next to me thinking I was gonna give them some so I walked faster and they followed me home. As soon as I halfway home the big dog stared at me with a aggression face and started barking then Out of nowhere he bit my leg really hard and I hit him with my bag.

A few minutes later, i woke up again but my chest was hurting badly and i was struggling to breath. My mom took me to the hospital and takes when i learned i had a asthma attack.

About a year ago, me and my Girl Scout Troop went to a campout. There was a rumor about a haunted cabin (started by an older troop, who we did meet during the campout), and we decided to go to it after it got dark out. There was a singular lamppost in the middle of the set of buildings, placed out in the open, and the cabin was roughly 50 feet (i'd guess) behind it. The cabin was obscured by a tree. When we got to the door there was a handprint left on the dusty window, presumably left by one of the other troops who came here before. The goal was to be quiet, since we technically weren't allowed in the area of unused cabins. After reaching the second floor, we turned out all of our flashlights for ten seconds. No one panicked, and we left through the balcony (there was a staircase connected to it) and met up with the adults at the lamppost. Honestly, I found the lamppost, alone in the middle of a clearing, more ominous than the cabin.

My first time going to a concert till there's was drama.

A few months ago I heard that my family is planning to go to a concert that I do not know what is based on but I was kinda excited because it was my first time going to a concert. A few weeks passed until it was the day to go to the concert. Once we went there there were so many delays till it was time to get into the building. As we were finding our seats at the concert till it had started, but instead of why we went for it, a few bands came in and started playing till a person started talking of how his team started helping out in a community for deaf people. Now here's how it started. My older brother repeat what he said but replace the word ''Deaf" using the word

"Death", he said "This guy said he's in a community for DEATH people". Now I just realizes of what my older brother said so I was like "huh?" then he repeated himself and so now I understand of what he said and I said "oh..ohhh" and so I started laughing because now I know why he said that, which is because it sounded like he did said that and so my twin brother started laughing for a bit and said "dumbo". Now until a mother in front of us looked straight at me and she said "What's so funny huh?... why are you laughing at deaf people, you think it's funny?" Now I was about to talk to her and tell her that I wasn't laughing about dead people but then my older brother started talking to her first, now they started talking fast and so here's what it gets worse. As they were arguing with each other the other started pointing at me saying " then why was he laughing, huh?, there's nothing wrong with dead people, my daughter's deaf..." and so now she makes it sound like I was a bad person. After they were arguing, my dad put his hand in front of her face to loose communication and so my mother ask my older brother of what was happening and so he told her. After he told her, she told me to switch seats, so that the other won't bother me and my mother told me that I did nothing wrong, which I agree with. So my mom switched sheets, which made the mother scared and looked away, because she was arguing to a minor, which is me. If I could learn something, I would learn not to laugh until it was an appropriate time so nothing like this would happen which was crazy because it was also my FIRST TIME going to a concert.

Before going to the Tyler the Creator concert me my sister and her boyfriend went downtown to get me and my sisters outfits for the concert and we passed through a bunch of stores in the domain and in thrift stores in downtown which was really fun and hope to do again. When we got our outfits we went home to change and on our way there I was so excited and even listening to the music in the car. When we got there the line was super long but it didn't take that long for it to be our turn to get in. When we go inside we got in line again to buy merch and get food. After we went to our seats then after a while the concert began and I was so excited and happy that I got good seats and was able to see my favorite music artist in person and even get some of their merch.

How i got my first puppy was that my parents dropped me off my aunt's house saying they were gonna go run some errands. little did I know was that they were gonna drive in hour to go get my puppy. I didn't know what was happening because i just thought that my aunt wanted to see me so that's why i went to her house. after like 3-4 hours my parents arrived and my aunt was recording behind me. when i open the car door i saw a big box and then when i open it i saw the most cutest little dog i have ever seen in my life. and it was my puppy Bimba i remember i started bawling my eyes out and saying thank you to my parents and when we got back home i played with my new puppy and slept with her that night. Now its been 4 years since we got her and i'll never forget that special day.

When I was around 6 years old I remember living with my grandma (my dad's mom), my uncle (my dad's brother), and my younger brother. A thorn had entered my uncle's eye, when he was cutting random grass to plant crops. I have no idea what he was cutting the grass with, but that thing had pressure, and a thorn ended up in his left eye or right eye? I don't remember. So he had to be taken to very far away--which I don't remember where he had to be taken to, so my grandma had to go and throw me and my brother to my aunt's house (my mom's sister) and she left to take care of her "baby" even though he was a grown man--probably in his 30s or 40s ( not important but he was bald). After some months, the day came where I had my accident. I have no clear memory what I was doing before I fell, but I was running down the wide concrete stairs, as I was running down the stairs I tripped on the damn hoes. Then I started to fall and roll down the remaining steps. When I got to the end, I wasn't able to move--like if I was paralyzed. I was a crying mess. My aunt didn't take me to a hospital because it was expensive, so she sat me down and mixed honey with sugar, and put it in the places that hurt the most. I wasn't able to move for a month, then soon I was able to slowly move around. The end!

one time, me and my parents whent on vacation to this nice hotel in lake tahoh. it was a nice room, had two beds + a fold out couch bed thingey, and it could confertly hold the three of us. One night, i was playing on my niintendo swich lite (i was playing miitopia btw). My parents where sleeping, but i was wide awake! i decided at about 12:00 i should try going to sleep, and while i was trying to sleep, i heard the door unlock. I was realy scared, but i didnt want them to notice me, so i just kept on fake sleeping. They crept into the bathroom, and just startrd opening and closeing the cabnets, or turning the faucet on and off, they where in there for like 10 minuets just doing random things in our bathroom before it walked out of th room, closed the door, and locked it. I wasn't too scared because i convinced myself it was just a maid tampering whith the bathroom, but just in case it was something different, i told my parents about it in the moarning. "a maid went in our room last night" i said, (i forgot what they said but it was something along the lines of "we didn't ask the hotel for a maid last night"). I was dumbfounded, they told me that maids wherent supposed to just come into your rooom in the middle of the night either...They brushed it off as a dream, but i know the truth: someone some how unlocked the door, and walked around our room...Now that im writeing about this, it almost feels like the "thing" was waiting for me to fall asleep so it could creep into our room un noticed, but, i also now realize that its impossible for anything to get into the room whithout a key, so it was problably just a maid that walked into the wrong room... :P

I stood there for a couple of minutes trying to understand wether or not it was a cat. So I ran to my dad and he got up with a shove. Me and my brother ran inside and watched through our glass door. Dad walked slowly and was tensed as if he was about to get jump scared. He opens the door and screams in a high tone. He came running into the glass door and smashed into it trying to open it. Once he got in, he grabbed his phone and called his friend Royce. Royce comes over and is laughing at him so hard he was crying. They get into the backyard and catch it with my dad still scared because of he's fear of rodents.

In summer 2023 my family and our friends families from church all went to Destin Florida. As me and my friends Ali and Ana went into the water a big wave came and hovered over us dragging us to the deep end. We were yelling and screaming for a minute straight but all of our families thought we were joking, until our friend estrella told her dad and thats when lucero and mulituple other people came to help us. As our friends dad went to go help Ana who was more further then us, I was jumping and screaming on my friend Ali because I didnt know how to swim, but as soon as our friend Lucero came I jumped onto her and started drowning her instead, but then she threw me and I started to swim for it. Luckly me, Ali, Ana and the rest all made it back safely, and we all joke about it to this day.

When I was in Pre-k, I had a pretty bad overbite and always had my teeth over my bottom lip. One day, I was rummaging through a toy bin with my head in it. Some other kid, that I think was one of my brother's friends, came up behind me and slammed the lid down on my head. Because of the pressure, I bit down on my lip and went all the way through it. I still have a scar under my lip. I think I may be a bit unlucky, because I almost bit through my lip again a few years ago. Thankfully, it didn't scar that time, but my lip did swell up for 2 days.

When i loaded into the game, i wasnt so excited. Fortnite had gotten boring to me and wasnt fun anymore because of the sweaty nobodys that play the game to much. Once i got in the map i picked my spot to loot up and land. When i hit the floor, a chest was near me i opened it and picked up the weapon and shields. I watched 3 people fight eachother and since they werent killing each other and missing their shots, i killed all 3 of them easily. I had found good loot like my favorite shotgun and my favorite AR. I moved around the map killing everyone in my way. Before i knew it i had 26 kills about to get my 27th, once he lost to me i notced that there was still 10 people left and i really wanted 30 kills. I was in a popular area with some people in it, after moving around i saw 2 people fighting so i decided to join in. I killed both of them but i saw footsteps near me so i new to be ready when i see them, luckily they were low health so that was an easy fight. 7 people left, i was moving around to get high ground, while someone was sneaking up behind me i was shooting someone from a mountain. i killed the person on bottom and the one behind me. Out of 5, 3 peoplet 2 died to other people, Leaving only 3 left this is where i started to get scared. i ended up beating both and winning very happily.

Hermit Crab Lore

Okay, lets start with the fore mentioned lore. When my mom was in either middle or high school she so graciously gifted her friend a hermit crab. Now you need to know that my moms bestie was not the kinda person to get exited by a hermit crab (they kinda freaked her out). My mother knew this of course, and as if souly to add salt to the wound hermit crabs can live for YEARS. And I don't mean just a few years, I mean 20-30. So her friend had to keep a hermit crab for a long time, and they are really, really, mind numbingly boring. Consequently, she began to plot her revenge.

Timeskip to a few years ago, their family went on a beach trip! They returned bearing gifts , living, breathing, crawling gifts. You guessed it hermit crabs! She had finally gotten revenge, and my dad being the overachiever that he is went out and got the hermit crabs a whole bunch of stuff to keep them alive. This is not at all what my mom wanted, she wanted to be rid of them as quickly as possible. you've got to understand just how boring these things are. They are basically nocturnal, and DO NOT MOVE, like EVER. They are just barely better that a pet rock, just BARELY. We originally had two, but one died. The funny thing is, it had been dead for a long, long time. But we literally COULD NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE. That's how "active" they were.

So now we are stuck with one hermit crab, that will probably end up as a gift to someone else as a joke.
