This video provides more information about Queen Elizabeth. Something interesting from the video, that may have affected Shakespeare's writing, may have been that Elizabeth was extremely educated. And Elizabeth fought with her older sister, Mary about the religion that should be prevalent in England. Mary was Catholic and Elizabeth was protestant. This religious conflict may be found within Shakespearian plays.

This video goes into depth on the religious experiences and the background on Elizabeth's childhood and coming becoming a queen and what that meant for her people and other people's religious beliefs. I find it very interesting that she chose to never marry anyone else. No one knows exactly why but there are speculations about not wanting to share power with her spouse or because she did not want her people to have a foreign influence of power. This conflict of religious beliefs as she was taking the throne can be seen through Shakespearian plays and writting.
