Poverty is when people don't have the materials they need to live life comfortably. It means not having enough money for anything extra and barely that. This includes not being able to supply yourself and your family if you have one of the basic needs (shelter, food, water).
Poverty is the lack of basic human necessities that are needed to survive. Whether it is due to lack of these resources, or the ability to afford them. Humans need fresh food, water, shelter, clothes, and even a job. When people don't have any of these then it is poverty because it is very hard to survive without any of these things. If you are fighting everyday to find enough of the things listed to survive then you are living in poverty. It is happening all over the world, and is something a lot of people struggle with.
