They performed two pieces, Symphony No. 2: The Age of Anxiety by Leonard Bernstein and Symphony No. 5 in B-flat Major by Sergei Prokofiev. It was the first time I had ever been to see a live symphony orchestra, and I was not disappointed. They had a guest pianist, Misha Dichter, who performed the piano part of The Age of Anxiety. I had an idea of what to expect before the performance, but hearing them perform live was something I couldn't have imagined. I have always loved feeling the vibrations of sound when going to a concert, but it was a different experience when hearing music at that volume without any amps. My favorite out of the two pieces performed would have to be The Age of Anxiety. It was made to purposefully sound off in tune and inspire anxiety in the audience.
