I have been before on a field trip in grade school but this time around I was able to learn even more. There were a lot of interactive activities like picking up actual salt from the floor and pushing buttons that explain how the old mine systems use to work. The way the information was presented was digestible for adults and kids. I would say that the mining system was a work of art. It was so detailed and intricate and had to be created just right or else everything would literally fall apart. There is so many things to do at this place but I noticed most interactive things were for children, however I still really enjoyed them. There is a whole section of the gardens where you can make music with giant instruments and that was my favorite part. That would be an integrated arts activity, making music. I also got to feed the fish and that was very enjoyable. I was able to hide in the bushes and document the whole thing! It was a great day to be outside and we had a wonderful celebration afterwards in one of their gazebos. The trails out there are fun to walk on and you occasionally get to see some wildlife. Its a great place to take children too as there are interactive activities inside the building there, however I did not participate in those while I was there. If I lived closer to it I would love to go on walks there all the time. There are interactive activities for all ages and personalities. I learned a lot at each place I went to. I also love the outdoor places and think it is so important to get kids outside as much as possible and help them learn to appreciate the great outdoors. My favorite place to visit out of these three would have to be Stratica because of the unique environment and the history there.
