Introduction

Setting a goal in a person’s life is very important and highly beneficial as it allows the person to manage himself and his resources carefully and provides motivation into achieving this goal. The best way for setting a goal is to follow the direction of a SMART goal which refers to Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. This way the person can measure how much has he achieved and how much is left for him and provides a clear vision of what he needs to do. Because of that I have set my own goal and they are to save lives with my invention and to raise funds to mass produce my invention to provide for the people in need. In this report I will measure the progress of these goals and evaluate them to see whether anything needs to be changed.

Current Status and Progress

My first goal is to save the lives of two million children who die each year from water-borne diseases by providing safe drinking water for everyone by the year 2030, because this is what I believe is the right thing to do that many people are ignoring. I still have a long way to reach my goal. From the start of the goal until now I have been able to invent a bottle that can purify any contaminated water and makes it safe for drinking. This bottle would be able to save the life of many people as it would save the people the need to travel to far places to find clean drinkable water, instead they can find any water source near them and use it instead. I still have not reached that goal as many people and children die each year from water–borne diseases and that may be because not many people have the lifesaver bottle.

My second goal is to raise 20 billion dollar by the end of 2016 in order to mass produce the lifesaver bottle and distribute it to the people in need. I have yet to reach that goal. Until now I have raised a total amount of 4 million dollars from people’s donations that and as you can see this is nothing as to what I want to reach. These donations were the results of the lectures I have given in different places.

201601520

Anyways, I am going to talk about my two SMART goals. My first goal is to try to save millions of people by providing them clean water simply by offering them my water filter devices that avoids any harmful disease. And my second goal is to raise awareness about my product and have the big agencies and charities market/fund and supply my water filter product so we share it to the people in need.

Progress and Status

1. My first goal is something that I have been working on for the last 4 years and it is a product created to help the millions of starving people around the globe by offering them a product that filters any containment and provides them 100% clean and safe water. I have set a deadline for this goal; January of 2011. And hopefully by 2015, I have saved a lot of lives and my product is known in the general public.

2. My second goal is set to be achieved by mid-2012 and it is to have the big charities and humanitarian organizations and even governments help me supply this device to all over the world, so we can stop people from suffering then dying due to lack of water or contaminated water. I currently have 12 funders that are willing to do whatever it takes to share this product, and I intend to get 15 more funders by late 2012.

Intro

This report is written to reflect on the progress of my S.M.A.R.T. goals. Back in 2004, a year notable for its impact on human lives. I set two goals to help those in need of access to clean drinkable water, and hoped to achieve them by the year 2020.

            Main B0dy

My first goal was to raise awareness about the problem of not having safe drinking water. I hoped that by the year 2020. I would have raised enough awareness to gather at least 8 billion pounds in donations to help those in need. By doing events, charity drives and guest talks. As well as relying on charity groups and humanitarian aid groups to reach this goal. It was challenging at first to get the community to get its act together to fight this problem. But after I got some traction that everyone came along to grasp the effects this problem has on humanity.

My second goal was to find a way to get clean and cheap drinking water to those in need. I used some of the money I got from the donations, and setup a think tank to find ways to tackle the problem. The team and I engineered a device that we named lifesaver. Lifesaver is basically a water filtration system in a bottle. It works by using 15nm carbon filters to clean the water of bacteria, germs and other harmful substances. Now I am trying to spread the use of lifesaver bottles to poor countries facing problems getting clean water. So that by the time we reach 2020, no child will ever face the dangers of unsafe drinking water.

There are a thousand of countries has water borne disease. It is a challenging problem especially for poor people around the world. However, I plan and wrote some goals to achieve it and to help the community in future days.

My first goal was started from 1999 and it was enhancing the water around the world. First of all, in 2009 July, I invent a water bottle that filtering the dirty water. These bottles keep the water cleaner by including 15 nm of bacteria which remove the small and tiny viruses. They are get a healthy water from this bottle and to reach for people who suffer from accidents like tsunami and water drier in some areas. I would like to reduce the consequences of unclean water that has virus like Polio. Added to that, should from government and some organization co-operate with me to stop the two million of children die each year.

My second goal is to get supporting from government for my project about the life saver bottle. These project need capital 20 billion dollars for build a company to create those bottle and deliver to different towns around the world. For example, Africa is the most country that had water drier and children die daily because they do not have fresh water to drink. Also, they cannot bay a clean water to continue their lives. In addition, I would like from some charity to put their hands with us to keep the world safer. So, this invitation is to help those people to be healthier in the end year of 2030.

Adel Farooq

So i have been thinking about the statics that says in every year there are people walking miles to get clean water , people are suffering because of the polluted water and around two million children die because of the filthy water and Cholera, E-coli, Typhoid, Hepatitis A and Polio all of these are dieses in the polluted water that cause diarrhea and severe illnesses. So, after I saw these numbers I knew that I should do something. I am Michael Pritchard will find a solution and will stop these people from suffering so these are my “SMART” goals.

Status:

My first goal is to save 1.8 billion people who are still using drinking-water source contaminated with viruses (Whoint, 2016) I am willing to do this within the next 6 years.

According to World Health Organization, Contaminated drinking-water causes 502,000 diarrheal deaths every year. So I am planning to complete my project “LifeSaver” to filter the polluted drinking-water and to provide clean water and much safer. I have been working on this project few years ago and it is almost complete I planning to upgrade “lifesaver” with filter small as 15nm so it could filter the water in a better way and much safer.

My Second goal is to raise 20 billion dollar in order to provide a clean and safe drinking-water for every person in the world and to stop deaths all over the world due polluted drinking-water by the next 20 years.

I am planning to contact few charities and offer my product for them to get some donations, also I am going to share my product concept and goals all over the internet in blogs, forums, and websites to get donations for a better future for people all over the word and the water pollution problem will be something from the past.

References:

Whoint.

Introduction

In the past few years, over two million children had died due to the everlasting increase in the diseases, and one of the major reasons that cause their death is water pollution. I thought of ways in which I could stop that from happening by inventing a water bottle that can sterile water. This lead to the idea of inventing a water bottle that has holes of the size 15 nanometer which prevents the smallest viruses and bacteria from passing through. The reason why I wanted to invent such a thing was to save the lives of around two billion children around the world by shipping the newly invented, self-sterilizing water bottles. I also wanted to spread this invention to everyone around the world and free of cost. In order for that to happen I would need to raise 20 billion dollars in 20 years.

Status

Worldwide, an estimated 2,000 children as young as five years old die daily due to diarrheal diseases and of these some 1,800 deaths are because of water, sanitation and hygiene. Water-pollution culminated to a harsh ending to millions of people. Therefore, I wanted to create a safe-drinking, self-sterilizing bottle in less than a year, by adding filters of the size 15 nanometers to prevent small unwanted particles and micro-organisms from passing through. This provides people with a nearby source of clean and sterile water

I was striving to raise 20 billion dollars before the year 2030. This is because I needed 20 billion dollars in order to be able to ship my life-savior invention since I did not have enough money. Hoping that the message reaches everyone, I hosted a speech at popular conference called TED to make people aware of my project and further increase my chance to succeed.

Reference

Children dying daily because of unsafe water supplies and poor sanitation and hygiene, UNICEF says, (2013, March 21).

201602059
INTRODUCTION

Every day in rural communities throughout Africa, hundreds of millions of people suffer from a lack of access to clean, safe, uncontaminated water. Women and girls are required to walk tens of miles at a time to gather water from ponds and water streams that are likely contaminated with water-borne diseases, and are then consumed by themselves and their families, which ultimately leads to the widespread of these diseases. Illness from drinking dirty water affects the productivity of these communities and disallows them from developing and having a better future. The purpose of this report is to shed light on two of the SMART goals I have set for myself to achieve over the course of the next ten years.

STATUS

My first SMART goal was set to tackle the issue of the lack of clean drinking water in rural communities through the development of a water filter that could save hundreds of millions of lives in the span of five years. There might be similar products that currently exist, but they are expensive and are provided through aid programs led by the governments of multiple first world countries. These aid programs rarely achieve their intended purposes, and are very slow in reaching the people in need. Hence, I have decided to conduct research in order to develop a water bottle with an included filter as small as 15nm that is capable of removing the smallest of viruses and bacteria from the water source, and turning it into safe drinking water.

Although the prototypes of my invention have achieved great success, funding remains a major issue that limits the widespread of this product. Therefore, my second SMART goal is to get funding for this project in order to save the lives of people struggling to obtain a supply of water for their daily needs. The public can donate and furthermore help in the development of the project through a campaign started on Kickstarter.com. I have also begun the process of contacting potential sponsors for the project, consisting of governments of the NATO countries, and major companies such as Microsoft and Apple. Over the next ten years, I would like to raise twenty billion dollars in order to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Furthermore, this would ultimately result in higher hygiene levels, and limiting the widespread of water-borne diseases.

REFERENCES

Safe and reliable water matters.

Introduction:

SMART Goals are very important in our lives to get better at managing our own goals priorities. My name is Michael Pritchard and I am the one who you saw on the video shown in class. I have two SMART Goals which is my first goal is to create a lifesaver bottle to provide clean water for almost two billion people, who are suffering in the world. My second SMART Goal is to gain an income from this goal which is I am going to talk about in this report.

Status:

My first SMART Goal is to save a lot of people lives who needs our help. Back then when I watched the news, they were dying from diseases and death caused by dirty water they drank. So I came up with an idea to develop Dr. Zackary Kepes and Austin Castellan’s ideas to create a lifesaver bottle, which filters out all kinds of bacteria within ten years to save people’s lives (Appendix A, n.d.).

I have gained a lot of profit from this goal and had multiple achievements. According to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s results it succeeded to filter out water in 2007. As you can see the bottle can generate from four thousand and six thousand liters until it expires.

My second goal is to gain an income from the project. I estimated that I am going to save these people’s lives with this project, as it is mentioned on TED in 2009 the development goals were analyzing the cost for people needs. The result was that they can provide twenty billion dollars for people on earth (Appendix A, n.d.).

201501382

Reference: LifeSaver bottle. (n.d.).

Introduction

Hello, my name is Michael Pritchard, back in 2004 I witnessed a devastating hurricane that is said to be one the deadliest hurricanes that ever hit the united states of America. And caused the death of an estimated number of 1,833. And in times of natural disaster, even basic life resources and needs such as clean water, become rare and scarce. I couldn’t live with myself with the fact that I could change something about it, i realized that the problem is not that water is not found. The problem is that It wasn’t clean and would cause an avoidable damage if only the water was filtered from these viruses and dirt.

Status

Over 2 million children die yearly

If I wanted to help everyone in the world my and not just the first world nation. My first goal would be to make a device that is extremely cheap and attainable. One the main features to consider during the designing is the ability to get rid of pollutants from water. Smallest of bacteria is the Tuberculosis and sized 200nm and smallest viruses is the Polio which sized 25 nm. So in order for the project to work I have to make a minimum of 20nm filtering capability. And in order to make it as cheap as possible I would have minimize the profit to minimum and make it at least cost 2cent. This device will be available to the public in the span of 5 years.

id:201501548

http://www.livescience.com/22522-hurricane-katrina-facts.html

Back in 2004, while we all were enjoying the Christmas Eve, hearing the news of a tsunami and looking at the tragic condition of the people of Asia really had drooling. The fact that there was no drinking water and people getting ill due to water borne disease disturbed me.

So I decided to set up two goals for myself. Firstly, I wanted to save lives of at least two million people who die every year due to lack of water or by drinking contaminated water which leads to water-borne diseases. This goal could be achieved only by creating a water bottle with the filtering holes as small as 15 Nanometer so that even the smallest discovered bacteria which are of the size of 25 Nanometer can be filtered and separated from the water. This water bottle can filter up to 6000 liters of any kind of filthy water before it becomes Unusable. My aim was to get this project completed by the end of this decade around 2009.

Secondly, after creating this kind of mechanism the target is to spread these water bottles all around the world to all the places struck by any type of calamity to reduce the issue of Lack of drinking water. This could only be done by Mass production of these bottles to all the people in need of it, as we know every year two million people die due to lack of water or because of drinking contaminated water which leads to waterborne disease. By the end of 2011 I want to gather at least 20 billion pounds so we can start providing the people hit with any kind of disaster with “The life Saver” water bottles.

201501498
Sayedooo

IntroductionHaving a SMART goal to
be achieved is one of the most important things in life. A SMART goal has to be
Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-Bound. My first goal is to
invent a machine that could turn polluted water into drinkable water in order
to provide clean water for around one billion people who are suffering from infected
water related diseases. My second goal is to raise 20 billion dollars to show
my invention to the public and make it known everywhere in order to save the lives of two million
children who die each year from water-borne diseases and to provide safe
drinking water for everyone by the year 2030.ProgressMy goal is to invest a machine that filter the polluted
water through a filter as small as 15nm in order to provide clean water to approximately
one billion people around the world who are suffering from diseases due to infected
water, and the lack of clean water (FAO,
2016). This goal has to be accomplished by the end of next year. If these people were able to access clean
water they would be able to live. Therefore, this 15nm water filter would prevent
small bacteria from polluting the water. My second goal is to raise 20 billion dollars in order to
show my invention to public and make accessible world-widely. According to
Ashley Seager, (2006), nearly
two million children a year die for want of clean water. Therefore, this invention should be known
publicly by 2020. ReferenceSeager,
