GLAD is used to engage all students through focus and motivation, input, guided oral practice, and reading and writing strategies. Most teachers use these strategies with English Language Learners but I tend to incorporate them in all of my classes because they promote the use of students meta cognition, collaboration, and creativity. Although this has been a really tough and long journey, I would not change it for the world.
