Can you specify more what should be in the Living, Learning, and Working boxes in the PLAAPF? Sometimes when we inherit an IEP from the prior school, there is maybe 1-2 sentences in each box.

I had a parent tell me that after we agreed not to do a reevaluation because it wasn't necessary, the ASK advocate said that is not true and we need to do it or student would lose insurance....true?

What things besides adding a goal area require a reevaluation? Do you have to do a reevaluation if you suspect a child's function on their FBA has changed? What testing can be done if you do not think a child is making growth to close the gap?

What about a student that needs small group instruction but are forced to be in co-taught classes because there are no pull out.

The option for no Re-Evaluation surprises me. I have high need students, I don't anticipate them exiting sped but I feel Re-val can be important to better serve and further assess them in academics. hearing behavior ect. I also feel it's important to review and analyze their data/growth every 3 years.

What happens when you have a parent who is insisting on reevaluation to add more to the IEP even though student performance is showing accelerated growth in that area and no discrepancy from peers?

IEPs are taking twice as long to complete now (esp. Re-evals), we seem to change curriculums every year, and we have to do more progress monitoring now with us going back to phonics goals. Being a special ed teacher has always felt like having more than one job, and now it definitely feels like having two. I am data collecting more than I am able to instruct (also due to shortage of associates in the district). Suggestions for managing this additional workload? Can we get more than 40 hours extra pay?

How do you mark them as the LEA Rep? We put them in as the assistant principal or principal, but I have never seen a way to mark them as the LEA rep as we did on Legacy.

Do we invite open enrolled districts if the parents chose to open enroll the students into our school? Do we also have to invite in within district transferred home schools to our meetings?

Do Home schools invitations apply to Students in Transition at Ruby ? As they have meet graduation requirements and would not be attending another school in a gen education setting.

For elementary SLC students not yet attending their classroom core, I think I misunderstood at a previous meeting - is it priority to invite gen ed classroom teacher they are rostered to, or a gen ed teacher who knows the student (ex: PE, art)?
