First you want to make an account, to do this go to the make an account option on the front page of the website.

Step 2 - choosing what your going to make

Moo.com provide a choice of professionally printed business cards, MiniCards, Letterheads and stickers and labels. We are going to design a business card so from the options select business cards then "Make Business Cards".

Step 3 - Making your own

In this step you now have the choice to either design your own business card from the beginning or to choose from the pre-made cards moo has already developed for us to use. I am going to use a pre-developed design this time so were going to select "Use Moo designs".

Step 4 - What type of business card?

Now we need to choose what type of business card we're going to design. We are making our business cards for the end of year success show for journalism and media studies so we need to choose something that reminds us of journalism and media. You can see on the left hand side a list of types of cards we can choose from, I am going to use the 'Photography and Film' cards because they fit our category the best.

Step 5 - Choosing from the photography and media cards

Now I've decided to use the photography and media cards, I have been given a couple pages of options to choose from. I am now going to choose one before I begin to edit my card. To do this I click the design of my choice and select "Make this pack"

Step 6 - Adding and editing text

To add text simply click in the text field on the business card and begin to write. Your text will come up in the pre-set font for the pack you've chosen. To change the font go select the text that you would like to change and scan through the list of font that should appear in a small window next to your design. I am going to choose "Index LP Pro" because my text is easy to read and fits in the design really well. If your text doesn't fit your can adjust the size of the font using the same options in the same little window that appears once your text his highlighted.

Step 7 - adding an image

To add an image onto your business card you can simply drag and drop the image of your choice into the drag and drop box found on your template. I want to add the end of year success website QR code so I go to whereever i've saved my image select the image and drag it in onto my design. I can now adjust the size of my image by using the sizing arrows at the side of my image.

Step 8 - The next step - the reverse card

Once you have added in all the text you wish to appear on your business card you can go to the next step. Now you can decide what image your want on the reverse of your card. For this design pack the image you get is of four cameras so once you have viewed what this will look like on your card you can move onto the next step.

Step 9 - Checking your design before print

Now its time to check your design for any spelling mistakes and to make sure all the information you want is there. You can go back to your design by clicking the check for spelling errors option from your check list and you can do the same to make sure that you haver viewed the reverse of your design. Once you have checked everything check you checklist and move onto the next step

Step 10 - Add finishing touches

Now you need to choose what paper you want the cards to be printed on either normal paper or eco-friendly paper and choose if you want a matt finish or a gloss finish. I just want my cards to be printed on normal paper so I select normal paper and I want a matt finish so I select matt finish and go to "Add to Cart"

Step 11 - Checkout

Now everything's been decided and your design is in your cart you can go to the checkout. Make sure you check your fees before you go to checkout.

Step 12 - Shipping options

Now you need to choose how you want your cards to be shipped to you. For now we are going to use the Standard Royal Mail delivery which is free. SO select standard delivery and move onto the next step. (You can also choose next day rush printing but this costs you an extra £12).

Step 13 - Address details

Now you need to fill in a form of where you want your cards to be shipped to. Add your name and address here then go to the final step.

Step 14 - Payment

Now you need to pay for your business cards. You need to enter your card details and then select buy and your cards will be sent to the shipping address you chose in the 12th step.
