The farmers who grew crops in the west had a lot of trouble because of the huge dust storms. I really think that being able to show students images of the Great Depression and WWII in that format really helped them visualize what was going on during that era. We tied it to Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt. We also did a preview of fossils.
