YiaYia is teaching the protagonist that the Greek way is better. The lasagna represents the Aussies and Moussaka represents the Greeks. In the First Third, the daughter of YiaYia is vegetarian and she doesn't understand the idea of it as she is Greek and meat is a prime ingredient in dishes.&nbsp;<br><br>2. Describe the relationship between YiaYia and the protagonist?<br>YiaYia and the protagonist are close and it seems that the YiaYia loves giving advice to her grandson, especially teaching him about the culture.<br><br>3. What does YiaYia teach the protagonist?<br>YiaYia teaches the protagonist that a Greek girl would be better than a foreign girl. YiaYia uses the connotation of a Greek girl being Moussaka and a foreign girl being Lasagna.<br><br>4. What does 'lasagne' represent?<br>-&nbsp; The lasagne is no special, its not hard to find and can be bought in high portions of 5 or 10 from a supermarket.<br><br>5.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1) A greek family is in the hospital visiting their Yiayia, while eating a large meal. Yiayia explains to billy that he needs to date the right girl.<br><br>2) Yiayia and Billy have an old fashioned relationship where she is always trying to influence his life by constantly saying that he needs to date a Greek girl. It is clear that Yiayia and Billy have a strong relationship, and are close to an extent.&nbsp;<br><br>3) She teaches him that a Greek girl would be the perfect fit for him because she could cook for him and would treat him right. She makes it really clear that Greek girls (moussakas) are the better for him.&nbsp;<br><br>4) The Lasagna is a representation of a white, generic girl. <br><br>5)The Moussaka represents the Greek girl. <br><br>6) Yiayia thinks that the moussaka would be better for Billy because she thinks the Australian girl is generic and would be bad for him, whereas the Greek girl would be good for him. The lasagne is often unhealthy, and easy to cook, wheras the moussaka is healthy, nutritional and filled with culture.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
